First boot?
I appreciate a step has not been danced yet but, assuming there are no huge surprises, who is your tip for the earliest bath?

Katie or Jeremy - Don't think either will be absolute bottom, but neither have a built in following that some of the others do. Jeremy may well be quite low on the leader board, but not low enough, or terrible enough, to trigger the 'annoy the judges' vote, and Katie I predict will be in the dreaded mid table wasteland with the judges.
Jamilia will score highly enough to keep her out of danger, as will the unknown, at this stage, Jay. Daniel has a very loyal fanbase that will get him out of trouble (think he'll be bottom), Carole will stay out of trouble for similar reasons. Ainsley will probably score enough to keep him safe, plus I think he will pull in the votes at least at first. So, Katie or Jeremy for me, with Jeremy sadly going (I like the man and given time he could give us a jive as epic as Michael Vaughan's )

For me, it will be Anita.
I feel she will not be a natural dancer and will not score highly enough on the leaderboard. Factor in the lack of a ready-made fanbase, she will have very little to fall back on, unlike others who could be in danger (Jeremy, Daniel, possibly Carol). Sorry Ms Rani!

Like Jiroos I personally think Anita as I don't think she would be a great dancer and a lot of people don't know very much about her in terms of voting initially.

I'll actually go with either Carol or Ainsley. Daniel's fans should keep him in for a good few weeks regardless of his dance ability, I can see Jeremy doing a nice Ballroom that will ensure his safety despite a... perhaps sub-par Latin, and Anita may be in danger at some point in the first few weeks but I struggle to see the judges saving somebody like Carol over her (I am, of course, willing to be proven wrong, as Carol Kirkwood could easily be the reincarnation of Ginger Rodgers. Well, I say 'easily'...)

I think the dance allocations are going to be more important than usual as to who stays and who goes, given that a lot of the celebs appear at first glance to be pretty similar potential-wise. I think Jeremy and Carole look like they could struggle in the Latin but pull off a decent ballroom, so if they get a Charleston/Waltz combo it would be better than say a salsa/tango.

Stig I accept your comment but I think Ainsley will may surprise you as he used to sort of dance on Ready, Steady Cook and could be a viewers vote as due to comedy value alone.

I voted Anthony - I think most of the others who could be near the bottom of the board probably have enough of an existing fan base to get them through and he probably doesn't (at least within the Strictly-watching public...).

I think a lot of us hope that that will happen but Daniel has a large fanbase so will be around for a while.
![]() DOD's fans must mostly be Irish and we all know the Irish Republic cant vote. He will be an earlyish boot in my opinion. Am not sure until I see them dance but I have a feeling Jeremy might surprise. |

I reckon that the only people who are really at any risk of falling into the first bottom-two are Anthony (if he is as stiff as he looked in the trailer), Carol, Daniel, Jeremy, and possibly Anita as well. Out of that bunch, I reckon Carol and Daniel will have enough support to dodge the dance-off for a few weeks, and Anita will be high enough on the leaderboard to keep herself safe. That leaves Anthony and Jeremy in danger, and, if that were the result, I think the judges would save Anthony purely on a 'you've got more potential' kind of vote, regardless of how well they danced. So, to cut to the chase, I voted Jeremy.

He's got plenty of fans over here too (I'm not one of them).

I am on my own so far, but I think Kellie will be first off.
And it's quite easy to vote online from outside the UK if you know how and I suspect the instructions will be circulating around the DOD community at this very moment!

I don't think "first out" has anything to do with dancing ability, or lack of, it is almost entirely down to popularity.
