I agree about the dresses, they look inferior to how they used to be. Lots of cheap ' ric-rac' style ribbony finishing tacked on and elastic waist banding on show ! Another thing I don't like is the excessive use of body oil - Jamelia looks greasy. You can tell already that Ainsley is going to be another Alison Hammond exuberance wise.

Yes - the skirts have a bit of a made-from-leftovers look rather than a designed look.
Ainsley at least will make an effort. I'd rather they try to do what they think may liven things up than just stand and pose. Same with Katie - she seemed to be playing it up for the press - which I expect they appreciated. Its a bit different from what I expected from her, but in the right direction IMO.
That's why I give Joanne a plus too - she's making an effort in her own way and I like her attitude - plus she seems like a nice person.

Otlile seems to have a lot going for her looks wise. She also looks like she will look good in whatever they dress her in - at least she has so far. It'll be interesting to see what her dancing brings and if they let the pros do their own choreography for the 10 dances (I'm not sure how much input they have anymore), how she choreographs and teaches.
From the photo with Peter, I'm surprised that Janette looks that much shorter than the others. Kristina looks taller than I expected. Otlile looks like she is 1" to 2" taller than Aliona - who is 5' 5". Apart from Janette and Natalie, the others seem to be within a relatively small range of heights - although they are at different distances from the camera and the ground is probably not level - so not a scientific assessment.
Gosh Claudia needs a new makeup artist, her present one is not doing her any favours - I'm slightly shocked at how she looks. Harsh black liner and pale lipstick makes her look unwell. Perhaps she does her own makeup?

Its the lower lid eyeliner that causes most of the problem.

I agree! After studying the photo for quite a while
- I came up withJanette 5' or 5'1" - Ola 5'2" - Kristina 5'3" - Joanne 5'4" - Aliona 5'5" - Karen 5'6" - Otlile either 5'7" or 5'8" - Natalie we know is 5'10" and she sure looked it in that line up lol!
If you look at Kristina's feet in that closeup photo of her and Tristan in the launch, she's standing on tip-toe, even in her heels, so she must be aware of how size differential makes her look - savvy girl. Mustn't look squat you know.

She looks lovely there fatskia. Don't know when that was taken but she looks younger, might have something to do with her makeup or lack of!

I think it is from a few years back. This one seems more recent. The lipstick is about right - and no eye-liner on the lower lid.

I'm surprised that someone as intelligent as Claudia hasn't just sat down with the makeup team on Strictly and found 2 or 3 looks that work, and stuck with those.
