That's your opinion and that's fine, we sometimes see things differently. Making a gesture of spitting is completely different than actually spitting. It's all noise and no spit. I still think Janice just nodded and said yes to her warning, because she had been worn down by jenna and her relentless picking on her in the bedroom. She even had to sleep in another room to get away from her.
If she had spat at Austin, surely BB would say, you didn't spit in his face like Austin claimed but you did spit on his foot, hand, leg or whatever, but they didn't. They just addressed the false claim.

I actually think the gesture is just as bad. It has exactly the same degrading and deplorable sentiment it's just no one has to clean anything up

If someone did that during an argument particularly I think anyone would be rightly horrified, angry and upset.

BB informed Austin that Janice didn't spit in his face which he had claimed but surely they'd have said she didn't spit at all if she in fact didn't spit all. Also we have the formal final warning so Janice either spat and it landed somewhere else or made the gesture of spitting during an angry tete a tete and BB found that as abhorrent and unacceptable as I and I'd hope everyone else would.

Austin is an obnoxious creature, very spiteful and malicious.

No way is the gesture as bad as actually being spat on. I have 4 slobbering dogs and know how truly yuk the reality is. You think BB would say she absolutely didn't spit anywhere, I think BB was addressing the actual accusation and said that wasn't true and Austin wasn't being truthful. We have different ideas of what it means and that's ok... And actually I normally agree with your posts.

He should have most certainly apologised for what has now transpired that she didn't spit in his face but yet he tried to get her into trouble for it.

He actually would have allowed her to get into trouble for what can legally be classed as assault.
He would have actually done that, which says a hell of a lot about him.

It's really serious what he tried to do there and I wouldn't have blamed BB if they ejected him from the house there and then on that basis alone.
They told him that it was a serious allegation, but yet he proceeded to uphold his complaint anyway. Which of course was a lie.

Tbh if I'm confronted first thing in the morning I tend to be in a pissy mood as well, so even if someone is trying to apologise to me I'd still bite their head off.

But he knew that he had lied about her to BB, which could have led to something more serious if she was kicked out of the house.
He knew this full well, so he had no right to act like he was the one who had been wronged.

What more serious think do you think it could have led to?

That it was technically assault doesn't mean anything would happen.


We have no good basis for saying it was a lie. BB couldn't see it in the footage but overstated by saying it didn't happen. Small amounts of spit wouldn't have been visible.

Austin and Janice are sat in the garden trying to clear the air. Janice apologises to Austin, “I just want you to know that I was out of line, I apologise about the names I called, and about pantomiming a spit”. Austin accepts the apology from Janice.

With the greatest of respect and I truly mean that Maisie, there is no comparison with a slobbering dog and a human being spitting in the direction of another. Her actions were to demean another person. Truly reprehensible!

I have watched the footage several times and it shows without doubt her spitting. She has apologised for "spitting", so why you or others are trying to circumvent that..I don't quite know.

Don't compare the slobber of an innocent dog to a grown, 60year old woman spitting on another.
It is demeaning,derogatory and utterly disgusting. Shame on her.

But he could have accepted her apology...even he said later in the day that it seemed genuine, but he never accepted the apology.

I wouldn't accept her apology. If she didn't get told off for it she wouldn't have apologised.

I don't think I would accept an apology from someone who spat at me. It is a repulsive thing to do.
