Agggh... I can't watch it until it comes on On Demand. But it this a fit like the "fainting fit" Gillian McKeith absolutely didn't fake on I'm a Celebrity?

Point is that there is no way to say "that didn't look like a seizure".”

and how long does it take you to recover from a tonic-clonic? Janice was "back to [Janice] normal" within a few hours... that certainly doesn't apply to me.

There is also the fact that if this was her first seizure - and she went to hospital - where was the MRI scan? American are scanned as a matter of course....

I'm not buying it - not just because of how it looked, more because of what happened afterwards.

Janis definitely can't fake a fit...and that's precisely why I laughed like a drain.

You beat me to it: I thought of Gillian as I watched Janice and how carefully she 'fell' from the DR chair on to the floor...

Depends how long it lasts, if I injure myself or lay funny on my arm and whether I was rested beforehand. Can take up to day, can be back at my desk after an hours rest.

We don't know it was her first seizure. I don't know about validity.

I just hate the way everybody on DS becomes an expert on neurological disorders when it is convenient. It is ignorant.

An absolutely vile and disgusting display...

Oh, I thought this was about James rooting about in his nose, never mind.

was that a tonic-clonic seizure? You're the first person I know not to sleep like a baby after a tonic-clonic...

Yes i have seen people fit im disabled myself, and have gone to dpecial schools and colleges.

I have known people to be out for minutes, banging there head snorting, even have had friends who have had fits that bad they had to wear a helmet all the time.

My sister also died of a massive fit when she was only 7 months

Yep, that rang alarm bells for me too. The medic was kneeling right in front of her and yet.... she somehow completely avoided him!

Can be, I get sufficient aura to generally get myself in to a comfortable position. Majority of mine are regularly under a minute. I usually need an hour rest but if it happens in the workplace I'll make myself get back to work as I need to. I find that if I push through the tiredness I'll be fine. My biggest problem is short term memory loss immediately after and not believing people that one has happened at first.

Anything longer than five minutes in length and yes, I'm out for the rest of the day.

Janice is an attention seeker . She was just flapping around being over dramatic until the medic brought up breathing . DING DING ! Janice develops breathing issues, falls slowly sideways, and glides gracefully to the floor .
Nope, I'm not buying it . If she has a genuine allergy then BB would be on it like a tramp on a chip . It would be full on alert as soon as she "was bitten by a bee" .Who over the age of 7 calls it being bitten ? Much less someone supposedly allergic to bee venom .

That's DS for you, all experts on all sorts of medical issues, I don't know why we bother with the medics, everyone should just come here to the DS BB forum to get their diagnoses apparently.

She's had a sting and is now ok, what's the drama?

I might be being an absolute bitch but I felt that the fit wasn't very real. First off she said her throat was very swollen and could barely breath. The moment she got into the diary room she was talking and her breathing didn't change, if she was struggling she would of felt as if talking was to hard. Also the fit, she was on the sofa and very gracefully rolled off the sofa. The guy in there didn't seem to worried as he didn't go to her side but just used his radio.
Yes I could see her had was a different colour but I don't know how real the other symptoms were. She said she was very allergic to bees and had been stung before, did she let Big Brother know that as they sounded as if they hadn't been told of her allergy.

Also I know a bit about all this as I have various allergies including nuts and soya, I have also been a witness to a seizure as a first aided.

Yup , she was alsos rubbing her hand a lot and that would make the skin red .
All that drivel about the black poison going to her heart made me laugh ot loud .
But I like Janice . As long as you know she isn't to be taken seriously .

Of course you can fake a fit. Why you'd want to is another question.

I agree. The medical knowledge is outstanding. Any disorder can be diagnosed and if you are lucky, you may even see a real life mental breakdown occur before your very eyes.

I give up sometimes with what I read.

Fake or not that should never have been shown.

Never surprised by the producers ability to plumb new depths. They'll exploit anything for publicity and viewing figures.

What makes it worse is their faux morality "Big Brother will not tolerate threatening behaviour etc etc". What a crock of shit.

Because it won't have been real.

If that was real then they would be at risk of lawyers, agents, and whoever threatening some kind of lawsuit for a breach of privacy taking into the context of the situation.
Not to mention that if it was real it would open a precedent for BB to show future incidents of this matter without permission.

Seen quite a few seizures in real life and this definitely wasn't a real seizure. For a start, if Janice truly WAS allergic to wasps she would have had an epi pen within easy reach and knowing the type of drama queen she is, she would have been screaming blue murder in that garden and wouldn't have calmly made her way to the diary room. Whilst I have no doubt she was stung and had a reaction, I do not for a second believe her life was in danger, that she is allergic or that she had a seizure.

Reminded me of Gillian Keith and her 'fainting' episodes in the jungle!

Just seen Rylan on BOTS giving a very serious speech about how the fit was real and Janice was taken care of. This was in response to the panelists questioning if she was faking it or not.

Now that is exactly why they showed it. They wanted people to question the fits authenticity. All the while hiding their real motive and dressing it up as 'concern'.

Shame on Rylan for yet again being a mouthpiece for this kind of exploitative TV. You're better than that Rylan. Wake up!
