I love Paul Burrell. Diana adored him. He knew stuff about the royals and they treated him badly after she died. I truly believe he was 'got at' when he went to court and would have died in suspicious circumstances, the same as Diana. He was so proud of his career and they brought him to his knees. I believe him to be an honourable man.

Because he said he was going to tell the truth about 'stuff' in court. When it came to it he denied it in court - plainly under some kind of threat. He's a lovely man.

He was accused and if I recall correctly ACQUITTED of taking some of Diana's possessions. He is a bit obsequious in my opinion. But he is a butler, so that kind of goes with the territory doesn't it. Nobody employs a lairy or outspoken butler do they?

He obviously has a lot of deep shit on the Royals , probably locked away only to be opened on his death. It was interesting that his court case regarding the alleged theft was quickly stopped by the Queen in its tracks with the prosecution "offering no evidence".

Whatever he has on the Queen and Charles must be very juicy indeed.

This is what I thought of too.

Diana promised him some personal items on her death. Apparently there was something even written down (Diana fell out with the Royals before she died). So when Burrell went to take them, the Royals didn't like it and when he wouldnt hand over what he'd taken, a case was brought against him (no doubt brought by suck-ups to the Royals, rather than the Royals themselves).

The case made it so Burrell would have to reveal the contents of the note he was left, and the Royals got nervous about it so the Queen made the decision to interfere in a court case (as cases are usually brought on behalf of the Crown). So the case was stopped immediately.

I thought people liked Diana on here. So I don't understand why people hate Burrell, unless they haven't understood what actually happened. I know he's not the most communicative bloke around though.
