If he was that concerned, why didn't he simply do a tell-all interview following her death, one that didn't come with a pay cheque. No, he continues to dredge up Diana after all these years. Diana had many close confidantes that refuse to sell stories or speak to the press, why doesn't he have the same decency?

He has made mistakes and may not have been the most loyal person he made himself to be but the world he served and worked for do not seem to be the most up right people and the media establishment that reported his wrong doings to the public are far from clean people.

I think it was indeed for financial gain (possibly after his removal from such a career path) but also he wanted Diana's side out there too as following the divorce it was all very much a media war between the two camps trying to tar one another.

Let's be honest it's must be true and he only reveals a bare minimum of info compared to what he knows otherwise he'd have been sued or worse.
