Yes, of course they are. Most of them anyway. No way did he see HM The Queen with the Coronation style crown on her head, or the one she wears at the State Opening Of Parliament. The Queen has a few different crowns anyway, never mind before you get down to the smaller tiara type things. At best that is what he might have seen on her head, nothing more than a tiara, if that. More likely to have seen her in one of those old fashioned scarves over her head that she likes when off duty if you ask me.

Deffo BB fodder, he was quite funny in IACGMOOFH
I'm no fan (don't dislike him but don't find him interesting). His jumping from the plane into the jungle was great entertainment, he was truly **** himself. However this was surpassed when during a bush-trucker trial he had to put his arm into a pit of snakes (he could not see inside the pit). His screaming and shouts of "move over darling .. " were the funniest thing ever. Furthermore, he was as scared of Janet Street Porter as he is of Janice Dickinson

I can't hate him because I don't know him that much. That being said....how is a celebrity??? He was a butler to the Royal Family and a lot of British people hate him, that's all. He's more of a D list "celeb".

He only ever said good things about Diana - trouble was he knew too much about the royals and they had to shut him up.

I don't hate them or anyone really, however in the 21st Century there is absolutely no place for any monarchy anywhere in the world. Antiquated and needs to go!
I often look on in bemusement at the sychophantically forelock tugging by people when the Royals are around. The Christening of Baby Charlotte was a case in point, locals heralded into a pen, to take photos and to view Wills and Co go into the church. Each to their own I suppose, but I found it sad and really embarrassing ![]()

Yes she did. Also, if I remember correctly, the staircase incident followed an argument with Charles as he was about to go see Camilla. Can you not spare any sympathy for a girl, barely in her 20's and pregnant with her first child, whose husband was unashamedly more interested in his mistress? It's no wonder she was so messed up and needed some attention.
![]() I have empathy for many thing in life Diana isn't one of them she knew as well as Charles what the deal was & she chose her life as he did lets stop pretending she was some innocent fragile flower. She was an attention seeker & courted the media at every opportunity! I have as much sympathy for Diana as I do for Charles! |

Well we wouldn't be 'l'il ol England' (sorry, UK) without our Royal Family. They bring in hoards of visitors and money, our Royal Ceremonies are fabulous and make Britain what it is. We would be a very ordinary little Country indeed without our Royal Family. And heaven forbid we should ever have a President!
![]() Moreover, if Royal Ceremonies *where is the role eye smiley when you need it* are "fabulous" and make Britian what it is.. well..tell that to the many folk trying to scrape a living together and put food on the table for their children. Britian is as much an ordinary little country as any other. . Rule Brirannia is long gone Daisydee. A president is at least elected by the people for the people, irrespective of how his/her tenure transpires. |

I could ask you the same thing regarding Gail. You delight at the thought of her having a breakdown on national tv for your entertainment.....you've said as much.

I can't imagine for one minute that Princess Diana would describe Paul Burrell as her "rock", . Apparently Diana's mother Frances Shand Kydd, hated him and described Burrell as "just another hanger-on grasping at Diana's celebrity" Looks like Frances Shand Kydd was right.

Countries without a monarchy do just fine on the old tourist front so that argument is totally lacking in fact or substance.

I love our traditions and there is no connection whatsoever between our traditions and 'putting food on the table' <rolls eyes>Sadly, I have no faith at all in our politicians, they are all in it for what they can get, having a Prime Minister and a Royal Family maintains a reasonably good balance IMHO. |

Him telling everone Diana last words were very telling. But it must be hard for the royal family to watch this man exploit her once again

i dont get the hatred towards this man, sure hes a bit over emotional/too honest but he was clearly very loyal to diana, hes a bit of a loose cannon (in the same way diana was described) but i find him quite harmless, as for disclosing details about the royal family, unless he actually says something grossly defamatory, he actually seems to make them sound more human

(Take a look at the cost of Prince William going on a helicopter job yesterday. Protection services etc......Ridiculous use of the taxpayers money.) Each to their own..that's my view. Moreover, daisy, I was respectful to you in my post and would appreciate the same courtesy. No need for the "rolls eyes". Good manners cost nothing.

IMHO he's coming across quite well so far in CBB, his chat last night with Bobby Davro during the live feed was quite nice, like 2 older men looking back on life, it was quite endearing. Yes he has been very indiscreet sharing his stories on the royals, but hey they are all a little bit dysfunctional just like the rest of us.

![]() If you think the monarchy is the thing that makes our islands significant, I'm afraid you're very much wrong. Look up the City of London Corporation - even the wikipedia page should shock you. Basically all the world's finances (all the bad, as well as the good) go through there. Quote:

My view of Britain is certainly not in the least bit sad. I just don't share your obvious love (affection etc) for the Monarchy. Unelected and therfore an undemocratic system has no place in my world and it is galling to many people, who are on the poverty line to see the money spent by this unelected group of overprivledged people. It;s an antiquated system and has no place in this 21st century.
