When I heard live show for both the first full day last Friday and tonight, I immediately thought it had something to do with immunity or nominations/face to face etc...

This must be the first time in ages where there hasn't been a nomination/immunity twist within the first 5 days

So I applaud C5 for (so far) leaving things as it is. And I think HMs nominated NORMALLY today

I am certainly glad they havent mucked about with the noms as it would appear everyone nomd and no one was immune and in the DR in secret too!

Just wait you know there will be some twist when they reveal who is up........

Yes! (APPLAUSE) For the first time in a long, long time, I'm actually laughing and feeling entertained. There's actually some FUN going on in there.

Too soon to congratulate them. I felt the same way during the first two weeks of BB16.

they will probably show the diary room nominations on the screen.

i imagine they wont try and manipulate the noms but probably have alot up such as housemates with 2 noms or more. i do tend to find theres less manipulation when the public are voting to save.

1. Yes I have
2. There is a shopping task with Paul as a butler.

How is that nomination meddling? Let me know when you come up with the answer for that.

Of course, that's why I said yet but as I said before, by now there would have been either an immunity or face to face noms thrown in.

Ah, well then yes I agree with you. Up to this time they have left well alone.

I just hope it continues.

Why should they be applauded for getting the basics right like not dicking around with noms every 5 seconds (which has been a staple of C5 BB)? It's the least they can do. No, let's hold up on the BAFTA nods until they actually produce something with a bit of originality. I wouldn't hold my breath.

NO, because of some of the worst HM choices ever. (Farrah, Jenna, ...) and the excessive focus on them.

(Also, I don't think it's C5 making these decisions.)

I agree. All they've done is go a bit back towards basics.

Agree and a good mix of HM's will bring about a good series. Unfortunately they have made some poor choices with some of the Americans. Farrah and Jenna are just horrible!

To be fair, there hasn't been a huge amount of focus on Jenna. It's Farrah who could become a problem in the long run in it becoming "The Farrah show" but I think there are other big characters who will take that away from the sole focus of her.

It's not like Katie Hopkins and Perez, "Katie and Perez show" because all the others tried to keep a low head down. But with this series, there are big enough characters to not have the editors completely focus on Farrah. Last night there was less focus on her, and more on others, we even got to see more Chris, Sherrie and Daniel.

Also, she probably won't last long, even in this Save vote.

My "applause" was based on the series itself too, not exactly the HM selection because the first shopping task is a themed dress up one, which I generally enjoy.

Also, as they said, they nominated in the Diary Room. In the DR! I know it's odd to get surprised by that, but when previous series have weekly face to face/immunity/show the HMs noms twists, it's quite shocking!

They should be slightly applauded for that very reason. Because they are not dicking around every 5 seconds, something that every series on C5 have done almost. It just shocks me It's not something we should be applauding because it's how it's supposed to be, but even a tiny step in the right direction is a start.

Also, I don't think there will be anything original in any BB series ever (across the world), there are too many BB series in each country and too many countries that produce BB. It would be nearly impossible to come up with something original that some other country hasn't come up with. I think there are still 56 countries who still show BB, count how many series each of those have had, we are looking at between 500-800 series in general, even if each series had only 10 tasks, that's like 5000-8000 tasks.

Remember the old saying "If it's too good to be true....."

The regular housemates had a round of nominations in the Diary Room and they were still played back to the house

Then there's todays twist in the shopping task, ok it may not be THE public but it's still unnecessary stirring from TPTB when it's all kicking off anyway without them being poked with a stick

This is very true. I'm just hoping the noms aren't shown! If it isn't, then I'd be very surprised.

Yeah, that is annoying, but I'm slightly happy it's not real comments from the public.

Plenty of time left in the show for these to happen, is it a 3 or 4 week run for this series?

Only thing that annoys me is this continual need to "put somebody in charge". Davro as Prime Minister has been a total damp squib. Just bung them all in the house, lock the door and let them get on with it
