Who Would've Thought? Bonnie Langford In EastEnders Is Really Good
After seeing her stage school acting help destroy Doctor Who back in the 80's, I was apprehensive about her joining EE.
But she's quickly established herself as a strong actress with a realistic (that makes a change these days!) likeable character. Who would've thought? |

Bonnie has been a revelation as Carmel and now she has been upgraded to a regular I would like to see the Kazemi clan expanded.

I've noticed that usually if someone hates an actor/actress they tend to never change their opinions on them (par the odd few episodes) but I'm glad that the majority of people have enjoyed Bonnie as Carmel from the start. I think that she's a brilliant addition to the show.
(However that slap https://twitter.com/tonysheps/status/638787857096818689 )

I didn't like her at first but she's been great in this storyline, that slap was rubbish tonight though!

I think the slap was meant to be restrained, she didn't really mean it.

I agree, and I was very skeptical of her arrival but she's been great thus far, good addition.

The poor slap isn't her fault - come on EE and direct your talent better - overall she's fantastic and needs to get bedded into the square properly - bar maid at vic? Would get you integrated fast

I feel there is a bit more glamour to Carmel than working in a dingy pub in Walford then again glamour isn't allowed in EE, she'll move to Walford and be penniless/homeless within a month.

I like her better than I did, but I don't think she'll ever be a favourite of mine.

Adore her
But can anyone explain to me what the issue with Bonnie is in general? All i saw was moaning and negativity when she was cast. Does she have a particular acting style that annoys people?. I did ask this in the thread where her casting was announced but i wasn't given an answer. |

I've been pleasantly surprised by Bonnie and Carmel. She's fitted in very nicely.
Also the slap wasn't her fault, it was the dreadful camera angle that made it look so fake. |

I was one of those who just thought, "oh no!" when they announced Bonnie Langford being cast.
I really thought she'd be horrendous. But I am not ashamed to admit that I underestimated her - I think she's brilliant as Carmel. I'm very pleased to have been proved wrong! |

Her acting is really good, she makes me hate the character sometimes when the storyline needs it and love the character the same way

I like Bonnie and I like Carmel. Although I think Carmel can be interfering at times, she is as far as I can tell, a nice lady.
