It was a little quieter than previous years with the last civilian Big Brother. But when it comes to this celebrity one, it's a damn near graveyard. There are many points that would once upon a time have been jumped on and a thread would have been created about them, but not this year. Where'd everybody go?

There's only so many times you can say 'somebody gag Farrah'

I think CBB have missed judged it this year. I don't think many people are enjoying the American V British theme. I find it ill conceived in the present climate. Also they appear to focus on Farrah Austin and James way too much. Lets get to know other people, being loud, in your face, and down right rude isn't the only way to go - it doesn't entertain me one bit. BB used to be about the tasks and the fun around them. BB has done the arguments to death now - lets have an happy house xxxxx

I'm not getting involved so much because i can't really be bothered to be honest. The show is a sham now, my love for it has dipped because of recent series.

I agree with you - such a shame though - in the early days I laughed a lot. Now I just feel drained with the constant arguments and nastiness. I would however miss the banter around the forums and twitter.

The saving grace for me yesterday (and, to be honest, each night it's been on) was live feed, which is a different kettle of fish altogether and which I'm enjoying very much. You obviously don't just get the focus on a fight/argument, just a picture of what's going on with most of the housemates, rather than a select few.

Really enjoyable, the best part of this series really. It really does highlight (pardon the pun) the difference between the highlight show and the bigger picture.

Agree - I watched it the other night and half an hour this morning - it was good to watch. I don't think in general the GP want fights and unkindness. I honestly think the BP want some relieve from reality at the minute. So definitely agree Live Feed is great just need more

I've suggested this a few times on other threads but I feel all the DS forums have quietened significantly over the past year or so.

I'm back after not watching a series (just couldn't watch Helen again ) so it's new to me again and sadly I am rapidly coming to the decision it may no longer be the show for me. Channel 5 have killed it.

It's because the world has been overrun with other social media. Doesn't mean to say people aren't talking about CBB. In fact they're discussing it more on Twitter, Facebook, blah, blah, blah...

Not helped by the site being so difficult to use in recent months and having to fight against so many technical glitches.

There is already too much aggro in the world to have fights between the UK and USA. Poor subject for CBB IMO.

Social media is now the place to go to talk BB, and it's increasingly getting more like that over the last two years.

Also, to mention summer CBB is always quiet on the forums, the forums normally pick up after a first eviction and certainly when the January series starts. Back in the golden years, there was no Twitter, Facebook etc.. to speak about BB, hence why the forums seem empty.

To many members banned for silly reasons.

On launch night I spent five hours trying to explain what "to encourage" meant to one poster, I lost the will to post after that.

This is SO true. Half the people I know are still around aren't posting because of this. So many regulars have fallen by the wayside.

But people are still around; I just think there's so much ennui for this season. It's just so contrived and people are, I think, getting sick of that.

Can only speak for myself but I find the constant negativity, people taking it too seriously, the apparent outlawing of all humour, people getting offended every time someone breathes, most off putting.

Actually, for many years it was the fun of posting in this forum that kept me watching BB and CBB, even after it declined so massively, now I find the forum is an unpleasant place to post unless all you want to do is insult the FMs. It seems to be more about baiting posters into posting things you can alert them for. It's all pre-pubescent fan wars and thug worship.

i am not enjoying this CBB at all. I am sure viewing figures must be down too. I catch the odd few minutes every now and then. i am not even bothered if I miss it.

I personally think it's great. And reaction seems to be positive across the internet.
This shopping task IMO will be brilliant.

I'm just indifferent to this series at the moment

Nothing really making it stand out so far, at least for me anyway

Don't get me wrong, glad there is more live feed to work with and the result at the end won't feel as manipulated as in previous series

But it just feels a little flat and underwhelming and just 'there' even after a week in
