How does BB decide how many votes to be nominated?

I'm just watching tonights episode and they come up with the voting of the housemates.

I'm sure it used to be the top 2, or more if the lower vote of the 2 was also matched by another housemates vote.

But it seems they are including more than that.

So how is it actually decided?

It all seems very random and BB decides how many is actually going up.

They make it up the rules after they get the result and apply a criteria that's gets the desired results

It seems to have been at least two, from the last few years iirc, but yes I do think they make it up on the spot where they can (e.g. a HM suddenly leaves - Kimberley - on the day she was likely to be evicted, so faced no eviction or live interview, and someone else unfairly lost their place as a result).

I guess they get to a point in the nom list, and reach the person they want out, and stop it there

Yup. Years ago in Ch4 times they always said the rules BEFORE.

But they didn't decide who was doing what too. Much more honesty about the way it was going but maybe the Ch5 lot want to have more control.

I liked it when it was HMs with the most votes. Like how the OP described, the top two or more. It was fair and interesting to watch

I think it's 2 nominations and you're up.

The first rule of C5 BB is NEVER say the rules before the outcome's been seen.

The second rule is NEVER reveal rule number one (because we are all eejits who will never notice).

There was enough honesty back in the day imo, but not any more.

Just be happy Chris is up, and lets hope he goes. A complete waste of a housemate.

I blame the editing.

I don't, he was just as bad on the live feed, and his reasons for nominating were also very bland.

Basically if Farrah is in the top 2 they`ll include anyone on the list that is likely to get evicted before her.

Make the rules depending on who is up. So if one of the ones the producers like is up they will include loads of housemates

In BB16, one week Eileen and Joel were the only 2 housemates, am I right in thinking that it was "normal nominations" that week? Totally unfair.

It's only 2 noms and your up on C5 when it suits ,if someone gets two Noms who they don't want out yet ,then the 2 Noms and your up rule goes out the window that week ......

In other words ..they make it up as they go along

It's a bit embarrassing the way they insist on keeping up this "you decide" charade.

The whole world and his dog know the producers decide by crowbaring in as much manipulation as humanly possible in order to get the desired result.

I'd have so much more respect for them if they just ditched the public vote and had a panel of producers deciding who should leave and when.

They just make it up as they go along. The rules are only announced after the event.

You never have a task these days where it is clear what the housemates have to do in order to pass.

Yep, Chris is up because they know that if he wasn't then Farrah, Janice or Jenna would be evicted for sure. They must think that we are stupid or something, we can all see through their tricks.

How has he been bad? What has he done wrong ?

Is it because he is sane and sensible ?
