I broke down in a fit of laughter at that one. The way she said it...

Honestly, this whole act is now entering a whole new realm of pathetic.

I hope they can weasel out of their confidentiality clause at some point after the show and reveal that they fully intended all of this as a comedy act.

I've never felt so uncomfortable watching 2 people that are supposedly a couple. Something doesn't ring true, but I suspect it is their 'love' rather than any contrived showmance.

He is like a lovesick puppy and she is on a pedestal. It's cringeworthy.

There's no script as such. They just watched a shit load of Richard Curtis movies before entering the house to get in the zone.

They think they are in a remake of the 1945 movie :-

Brief Encounter - starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard

Film quote

Dr. Alec Harvey ( Stevi ) - I love you. I love your wide eyes, the way you smile, your shyness, and the way you laugh at my jokes.

Laura Jesson ( chloe ) - [whimpers] Please don't.

Dr. Alec Harvey ( Stevi ) - I love you. I love you. You love me too. It's no use pretending it hasn't happened cause it has.

Laura Jesson ( Chloe ) - Yes it has. I don't want to pretend anything either to you or to anyone else. But from now on, I shall have to. That's what's wrong. Don't you see? That's what spoils everything. That's why we must stop, here and now, talking like this. We're neither of us free to love each other. There's too much in the way. There's still time, if we control ourselves and behave like sensible human beings. There's still time.

There's going to be a tragic ending.

They quite probably are a real couple, but this is still a 'showmance' they are performing nonetheless.
It just doesn't ring true and it doesn't sound like the way two people would naturally talk. It very much feels that what they are saying is for show and that they are fully aware of that.

If you wrote a script for a TV drama or a film and tried to pitch it to a production company, they'd send you away for writing a terrible script because you're written unrealistic dialogue, and they'd tell you to go away and write another draft with the characters speaking with believable dialogue, like people use in real life.

How can he read a script when his eyes are on the wrong way round?

I'm getting Downton Abbey vibes from Chloe as well with that posh voice : the pair of them are sort of a low rent version of Matthew and Lady Mary

Chloe: 'I can't believe it, we're in love. Is it wrong?'

Stevi: "Sure is, babe. I love you, you love me. Babe."

Chloe: But there's something wrong, dearest, my love. It's fate. It's pulling us apart!'

Stevi: "I know babe. We need to be strong -"

Chloe:'I can't. I simply can't! HELP!'

Stevi: "Kiss me. Love will make it better."

Her voice isn't that much different, considering that sixteen year olds often have a rougher accent to fit in with the crowd.
