I was laughing at her comment about the " we all have to unfortunately work except for those incontasipated and people over 13 stone" comedy genius and a true comment about the working world today!

Mary is hilarious! Also made me chuckle when she asked Hope if she wanted to face paint the bear next- when she said no Mary got the hump and gave her a dirty look!

I guess Mary is like Marmite, you either love her or hate her, and I definitely love her!

Had me reaching for the mute button. Terrible writing and acting. Just do not get the appeal of this pathetic attempt at comedy.

Her lines are funny (the OP left out the best phrases, I think) but more importantly, she has the gift of timing.

I find Mary funny, but I agree with Walter she does seem to be a Marmite character.

Me too - one of the best characters on the Street. Corrie would lose her at their peril.

Yes, I think she said something afterwards like "Except mother, who dictated newspapers for the blind"

She babysits for Dev (and acts as general housekeeper by the looks of it) and works in Roy's Rolls.

I think she also said something like "...if you believe a certain TV channel ....", but that could be my faulty memory.

Mary is pure comedy genius and by far one of the best characters on the show.

Perhaps it's parked at Mother's?

Is Mother still alive?

Yes it was but i'm not sure if it was ever followed up

She seems to have forgotten all about it despite her dramatic attempt to save it from being towed.

I agree. I'm stunned people seem to have found it funny, it was stupid and offensive.
