Thinking of moving to Andriod but weighing up the pros and cons...
Can I move my music ?
What is the Andriod equivalent of iTunes and is it any good ?
Had an original Nexas 7 years ago is the phone os similar ?
Currently have a iPhone 5s and got my invite for the OnePlus 2 so I have 24 hours to decide 😂😂😂

I don't know if this helps but I went from years and years of iOS to Android over a year ago. I love the freedom and choice of handsets as I was getting SO bored of iPhones.
Now I'm thinking of going back to iPhones as the music isn't as good as iTunes (imo) and I have to save photos to Dropbox or similar and I want to have music and photos across my devices seamlessly. Also I think the UI is smoother and less laggy on the iPhone.
I am, however, a 63 year old woman who can't be arsed to muck around trying to find clever ways of getting my photos etc across to my Macbook and iPad.
If you're young and techy then Android is fun!

You can still use iTunes if you like as there is a app called iSyncR that you download on your phone and also the computer and it syncs your iTunes library (even the playlists and even over wireless).

I would love to ditch iTunes myself as I hate it, but I've got an old iPod Mini that I use for the gym so have to have it.

I am debating flashing the software on the iPod so I can use a program (like iTunes) called Media Monkey which looks a he'll of a lot better than iTunes.

You shouldn't need to do that as Google Photos (which usually comes pre-installed on Android phones) can backs up all your photos to the cloud and sync them between your devices. Music works the same way with Google Music; all songs are automatically available on all your devices without connecting to a PC and syncing with iTunes etc.

Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon Photos (free with prime), or Google Drive, work on both systems. iCloud works on Mac/Windows and iOS devices.

Yes, if you're a music fan and have lots of music on your computer (and on a Mac that will be in iTunes) then an iPhone is probably easier - I always found Android has music as just "another thing" it did rather than one of the main things an iPhone does.

Its like that on both devices. Both do it as well as each other.

No different to Amazon Photos, or OneDrive or DropBox, they ALL can backup your photos automatically on iOS or Android.

Yeah, but the person said they had to use dropbox to get pics over all their devices. I was merely saying by activating google backup, dropbox isn't needed.

Yeah, its the same amount of 'effort' as setting up Dropbox on an iOS device.

If you're using Android then chances are Google Photos is already installed and just needs switching to 'on', so that's the easiest way to do it. But of course you can also use DropBox, Amazon or any other service if you prefer.

That won't work well! SIM cards have very limited space for contacts and won't store things like addresses which many people now have on smartphone contacts.

Syncing the contacts to something like Gmail - and then doing the same on the new device - may work a lot better.

You want to get them uploaded to https://www.google.com/contacts

You can import vcards from Apple, or csv files, so depends how you can export them easily. Once in Google Contacts, they'll sync to your phone when you log in.

Yes. Once you have the contacts linked to your Google account they will sync to any device you log into (if you want them to).

The OP2 invite mystery is answered. The phone should be a cracker.
