Seems a bit naff to have 2 versions, only the Sport one having GPS.
The problem might be price, the venerable SW3 likely covering sport better for less.

It is fully 360 this time so will have a look advantage.

Seems the flat section is still there, Moto claiming ' "The active area of our screen size is about 70 to 75% of the overall size of the device," Motorola executive Kouji Kodera told the BBC, explaining the design choice.

"If you compare that to the competition, they are in the range of 45 to 50%.'

'But Motorola and its rivals still have to convince smartphone users that they need such devices.'

I wonder how they are measuring the active display area. 45-50% seems very low.

Not a review,much more a description of the tech spec. Despite bleating about the ' ugly, flat-tire black spot' all the photos manage to fail at emphasising it.

So on the gear live they include the straps lugs because they are part of the body. Yet on the 360 they appear to be missing from the picture. Usual nonsense.

They conveniently fail to print the argument that major competitors are 50% bezel whilst bringing up the flat tire bezel subject. All reports seem to come from the very same IFA Berlin presentation.

I expect it is because they can see they screen area quote is flawed, and have saved moto the embarrassment of pointing it out.

It makes some interesting points such as Ion X being twice as good as Sapphire for seeing in bright light but quite bizzarely mentions the above whilst totally ignoring the fact that its review watch is 50% bezel.

The same points applying to the Sony 3 as the Sony 2 with regards to outdoors use likely makes the SW3 the prime Sports watch to have, above the Moto 360 Sport in practicality.

I think you have to have the Apple watch, I know Android wearables are desperately trying to get iOS compatibility to gain some of the next generation features of the Apple watch but it won't be a full integration. I wonder if this inherent fault in the 360 will ever be addressed?

Seems only the UK and France will have it this month, it arriving on the 18th.
I wonder if the use of a dual mode display is the reason for the long delay.

I'm supprised to see it has Gorilla Glass 3. This will mean that it will scratch up well and proper especially as it is a "sports" watch.

Its just another trademarked Aluminosilicate Glass that they near all use.

Are normal watches better through having thicker glass?
