This didn't look like it had been covered.

Rupert Murdoch’s Fox UK is to launch its first ever free-to-air channel, YourTV, in the increasingly crowded market targeting female viewers.

I don't know if this is also related.

Fox International Channels (FIC) is on the brink of launching a free-to-air channel with a raft of National Geographic factual content, as the battle for the free-to-air market heats up.

Hmm, wonder which mux it (Your TV) will go on? COM 7 or 8 would mean large numbers of people being unable to receive it, and where is space on any of the other muxes going to come from??

The slot currently used by The Community Channel appears to be most likely - or a shuffle around involving the Community Channel and other services.

The channel will be on air from 7am to 3am.

The current Dave slot is 7am-3am - if Dave moves to the slot now home to Dave ja vu's capacity, that'll free up the current Dave berth on ARQA...

Just a thought could this new channel from FOX being replacing Pick TV from Sky on Freeview. I would imagine this new channel would air trailers for both Sky and FOX channels.

Or it will Pick TV still remain on Freeview but it gets a higher channel number and the new channel from FOX launches on Freeview Channel 11.

Fox and Sky are separate companies so I can't see Pick TV closing or moving channel numbers. But I believe generally channels can't swap places on Freeview due to the rules in place for the platform.

They can only swap if both channels belong to the same company and are in the same genre and can provide Digital UK with a good reason for the swap.

The network will feature such shows as Corrupt Crimes, which investigates recent crime stories, legal drama Shark, starring James Wood, and Don't Tell the Bride, along with cooking shows, such as the National Geographic Channel's Baking Good, Baking Bad.
So the two news articles are probably talking about the same channel.

Unless you are a '40 plus woman', it doesn't matter what you think.

As I understand things, there'll only be the one new Fox channel but that it will include some National Geographic domestic programming such as the Baking Good Baking Bad series.

Ignoring the nay sayers, I have looked in more depth at the sort of material to be covered and think there is some good male-orientated stuff to come. Obviously it is a question of taste, but I shall be watching some of the National Geographic content along with Family Guy.

Family Guy?!

YourTV won't be showing the best programmes from FOX and National Geographic, quite the opposite. It will operate in the same way as Pick and Quest do for Sky and Discovery, mainly showing their older back catalogue of less premium content along with a handful of cheap new shows.

YourTV (78) is on COM5, YourTV+1 (79) is on COM6 - do you have the other channels on COM6, e.g. 4Music, Yesterday?

Although not launched, Your TV Manchester and Yourt TV lancashire own the name to Your TV in the UK surely? So how can Fox have it?
