Streaming from PC - new user
Just upgraded my 7 year old Panasonic TX-32LXD52 32" LCD to a 40CX800. The installer set it up so that, using my router, I can view video files from my PC. I have a basic question about navigation which he was unable to answer please.
From the TV Home page I click Devices. I get a list of devices (dark blue) followed by several light blue items that correspond to certain high level folders on my XP PC. So far so good. Selecting one of those, say My Videos, I expected to see its 40 or so subfolders and within those often further sub-subfolders, and then my files. As in the familiar Explorer tree structure. But instead the tree seems to be 'flat' (no subfolders). It apparently shows every video file within that large top level folder. And, worse, it's not in any apparent sequence! So I have to search through hundreds of entries to find my choice. It's hard to understand such a major flaw in design. Or maybe there's some setting I've not found? I'd appreciate any feedback and advice about this please. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK |
