so I am just watching last night's don't tell the bride and the groom is arranging an Eastenders themed wedding!

Its just starting and he is driving round looking for an eastenders style square with garden he can use

so based on him doing that from just watching and the majority of the forum being nutty obsessed folk would you have your favourite soap as the theme to your wedding?

would you go as far as splashing out on a personal appearance to be made by your favourite actor/actress?

As a soap-themed wedding, there should've been a mock affair confession/revelation at the altar, followed by a dramatic (fake) explosion at the venue...plus the shock appearance of a relative whom the bride hasn't seen for years!

Love that they were able to get Joe Swash to turn up and do the ceremony.
When they booked him they only had £1000 left. After they booked him they still had enough money for four bridesmaid dresses atleast.

I don't think the money they pay makes sense or adds up on the show anymore.

maybe he dud it for free for the exposure or maybe his price for PA's has dropped to the lowest level

It might not be relevant but my parents married at the registry office Corrie use for their weddings.

The idea of a soap wedding maybe on the Corrie tour on the cobbles would be cool but my husband never would have agreed to it

Don't normally watch Don't Tell The Bride but watched it because of the EE theme. Thought he did really well in the end

They were so lucky that the weather cleared up - I don't understand why he didn't hire a marquee or at least some sort of coverage other than a brolly!

I also thought he would have tried to actually have it on the EE set... with both programmes being on the BBC and all... that would have been great.

I thought it was one of the worst weddings they've had on the show. The theme in principle was good but he didn't execute it very well.

I wonder if anyone would do a "dynasty" and have a fake shootout massacre
