EE What I noticed about that Shirley photo
NoughtiesMusic

She realised that Babe wrote the due dates on the back of all those expectant mums' pictures. Before she confronted Babe, she found her own picture (she actually looked really nice in it).

On Shirley's photo it had the due date for Mick as 19th January 1977. I just checked on iPlayer. Thing is, didn't Mick celebrate his 39th earlier this year? That would make his DOB 1976.

It's not the biggest error in the world of soaps but that would mean he's become younger by one year.

The Carters' ages always seem to be changing. There used to be debate over the age of Johnny, Nancy, and Lee because they gave us different information, while they never gave us any direct statement about Linda or Mick. We inferred their ages, only to find that we were out by a year or so.

No, Mick celebrated his 38th this year. The date was correct.

Yeop, Mick is always meant to have been born in 1977, going by his 'Carter 77' tee shirt and turning 38 at the beginning of the year. Linda is a few months younger than him - July 77.

The kids birthdate have changed from what we were told in the initial press releases.

It couldn't have been The Shirley Creature

So how old was Linda when she had Lee?

Linda was supposed to fallen pregnant when she was 15, I don't know the dates but Stan mentioned Linda's dad dying when she was 15 and Linda falling pregnant a few months later.

're Shirley, she must have fallen pregnant at 13 and found out/ gave birth at 14, if Mick was born in 1977 and Shirley was born in 63, right?

Thanks Ell Ren

So Shirley became a grandmother at 29?

The ages are all a little confusing between Linda, Lee, Nancy and Johnny. I'm not sure any of the dates add up properly from birth dates and ages that have been mentioned.

She must have been around that age, yep! A grandmother at 29.

I find I always think of Linda being around 45 or older rather than 38. Her character and the Princess Diana obsession seems to be more like an older woman.

I think that the Carter parents were originally written as being older, but were reverse-Sorased when it was decided Shirley was Mick's mother and not his sister.

I'm not sure about that, Tina said right at the beginning that Mick was the youngest so if she is 40, then Mick would still only be a year older than he is. Unless they aged Tina up? I think the Carter kids should have been younger, or less of them.
