Has anyone received an update to Android 5.1 with this phone? There are some regions around the world that have had the update since February, but generally it looks like Motorola have abandoned this phone.

There are some unofficial upgrade routes here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/general, but it looks quite complicated and risky. Anyone tried it successfully?

I have a moto g upgraded to L but I had to work hard to disable some services which drained my battery in about half a day. Main advantage of lollipop is that it is not so restrictive about use of sd card as kitkat was, but apart from that it is mostly superficial changes.
