What is Steve's play here, can anyone fill me in?

I understand his target is Austin but why hasn't he told the twins? Why did he tell Austin he wasn't the target?

If Liz wins Veto and takes herself off, and the target 'shifts' to Austin, he can hardly play it off like "oh, yeah, he was the target anyway, I just couldn't tell you" as it's going to come across as bullshit. Whereas, if he told the twins Austin was the target immediately, he wouldn't have them both pissed at him.

He's got to win out now until the end because of his game play today, whereas if he at least tried to keep the twins on his side this week, he could've used John and Vanessa as a shield going forward.

Dunno, just seems to me that he's played this all wrong (if Austin really is his target).

Steve and John are waiting on the Veto. They figure Vanessa has a deal with Austin and want him out. Vanessa (like Austwins) apparently thinks Liz is the target. There are many and varied plays to consider after the comp.

So it really is Steve just being sloppy, then? He can't afford to wait for the Veto, he's pissed off two people now (the twins) - one guaranteed to be staying, possibly even both if Steve gets his wish to evict Austin. Really, really sloppy because it could have been avoided.

The damage has been done and Steve can't repair it. Sure, we're down to the business end and it doesn't really matter now, they need to win out, etc. but Steve had two safety nets with John and Vanessa. He could've easily convinced Austwins to go after them before him if push came to shove, yet instead, after today, he's made sure he's the #1 target for the twins. Really poor game play on his behalf.

I think it'd be best for him now to shift his target to Liz since he's played it all wrong with the twins (hope not though, I want Austin out).

Liz hasn't talked to Steve since the ceremony lol its so awkward right now.

Hope Liz wins veto.

Then production will be foaming at the mouth with her vote for either Austin / Julia.
