Abbey was very articulate on Strictly, so I'm sure she'll do very well.

Sorry if you have read this but whilst reading I article I noticed that Jamelia had not spoken to her Dad in years due to him being in prison so he kept away due to press, apparently he his hoping she will start talking to him again after Strictly though!

Yes, they all come out of the woodwork and rush to papers when the son/daughter suddenly gets coverage again.

She was a judge on The Voice Ireland the other year. Probably not high profile for him to come out then.

I'd leave him alone

Some parents just aren't cut out to have kids

I knew that she was estranged from him.

You are better without him

It's no big deal, I haven't spoken to my dad for years and years either. Some parents are rubbish.

Not everyone is cut out to be a parent, I haven't spoken to my mother in years. Not only celebs that have that problem

I agree with other FMs. What difference does it make to SCD if Jamelia is in touch with her Dad or not?

Non-news. Lots of people have reasons not to communicate with their parents; it's their business, no-one elses.

Yes, some family are not worthy of that name. I'm sure she has good reasons for not talking to him.

If her Dad is willing to sell a story on her the first time she's in the public eye for years, he's probably not worth talking to.

I don't get this fixation the press have on familial love being necessary for a fulfilled emotional life . I have a sister I'm more than happy to avoid because as a person she is not to my taste . I don't feel obliged to love her , that's just bs, we are adults and can choose .

I hate people's ancient past being brought up in dance shows . Unless they are absolutely vile on the show , which rarely happens . Recent stuff might be slightly relevant (indicating views) , but going back in the mists of time is just boring old rubbish .
