Not at all, you've missed the point. I personally wasn't putting the spin on the pic. I was fully aware of it's origin. I was just showing how easy it is to do so, as not everyone will have seen ITT.

He comes out of that pretty badly (especially as they thought it was a charity event when they took the fee) but it also sounds like really bad planning by the event organiser. Do small children even know who Peter Andre is or want to hear him singing Stevie Wonder covers? I would've thought they'd rather see someone from children's TV or a younger singer, who probably would have done it for free.

I can't understand where the story has come from and do wonder if they are trying to put pressure on him not to have to pay him. God knows I'm not Peter's biggest fan, but they offered him the fee and then regret it when the event wasn't the success they expected. These events can so easily get out of control, I feel for them and I'm sure it was all done with the best of intentions but I agree it sounds like at best naive planning. If they agreed the fee, he did what he agreed to do well, and he never suggested he was working for free, I can't see that he's done anything wrong?

Perhaps had he waived at least some of the fee as he was not the draw his fee would suggest, it may have put him in a better light.

He sang Stevie Wonder!!??!!
That is worse than any of the crimes he's committed on the Strictly dance floor.

Very unimpressed with him charging that exorbitant fee at a charity event!

This is starting to feel like an orchestrated campaign against Andre. He'll be getting accused of seeing off Jihadi John next!

He would have no part in, or knowledge of the organising. The people wanting a celebrity contact an events company, who in turn offer suggestions, then deal with the celebs agent. It does say in that article that it was IEvents who refused to change things.

Wouldn't that be a positive story for Peter though

Peter, who was born in Australia to Greek Cypriot parents

Well, if they have got that wrong, what else is wrong?

Nice to know that, whatever else people say about him, in real life Peter is 'wonderfully fragrant' with 'a lovely smooth brow'

Would you give up your salary if someone at your workplace made an accounting error connected with work that you do?

As I often work extra time for no money I do this anyway. Then I am somewhat more generous than a seemingly overpaid professional reality TV person.

However, someone who charges so much money who then fails to bring in the customers to cover the cost should bare some loss.

Yes 😏. It's quite jaw dropping. I can't decide if I'm appalled or it's hilarious

I wonder what Iceland has to do with Angelina Jolie or J K Rowling?

And so yet another thread that could have been useful descends into "let's find any excuse we can to bash Peter Andre"...

I thought the thread was called "News on contestants" and that meant any newspaper article on any of the contestants. Are we supposed to exclude Peter (who has more press coverage than anyone else) or are we not supposed to comment on any article?
