I read her husband will be worse than Trevor Morgan and Archie Mitchell combined. I'm looking forward to seeing just how much control he has over her.

I can't get over how much younger she now looks than her older son. Just glad that Kathy's full time return has been set.

I reckon this will be better than Den's return. That fell apart because there were so many problems behind the scenes in EE in 2004. Plus Leslie Grantham's off screen antics didn't help.

Den was an ARSE! I really didn't like the character

If they are billing this as her full time return then they are cheating the viewers in my opinion as we know Ian does not see her until early October. Unless they try and elongate that even further because he faints and then Kathy & Jane agree to pretend Ian didn't see here. I can see Eastenders doing that and having the reveal at Christmas. The moment that happens I switch off.

Regardless of when Ian and Ben find out, Friday is the day when Kathy becomes a regular character. Even if the only Albert Square resident she interacts with is Phil.

Bear in mind there was a whole week of episodes featuring Den before his return was known to everyone outside his family.

Prepare to switch off

You believe this to be the case or know it to be?

It didn't help that the writers kept him in a stagnant role as the lovable rogue and anti-hero of sorts. That "get Den" part of the fairground disaster was really corny.

And? Who says that her full-time return will only begin when Ian sees her? Full-time merely implies she will appear regularly, she can do that with Ian remaining oblivious to her fake death in the short term at least.

From the DigiGuide listings.

Friday 11th September 2015
It's a huge day in Walford when Kathy attempts to return to Albert Square, but with Gavin close by, will all go to plan? [No, obviously not.] Jane makes a risky move.

Monday 14th September 2015
Sharon's stunned when she comes face-to-face with a ghost from the past. Jane makes a deal with the devil. Charlie is shocked to the core when Ronnie drops a bombshell.

Friday 18th September 2015
Roxy finds herself torn between Charlie and Ronnie - who will she stand by? Kathy receives a visit from an unexpected face.

So it seems at least a couple more characters learn about Kathy being alive soon.

He can't be that tough - the wheezing old potato 'owns' Gavin next week.

Then again he owns everyone - it's his job.

This! Unfortunately and unsurprisingly.

What a shocker it is - new big time villain/gangster/hardman turns up in the show and is intimidated/humiliated/beat up within two minutes flat by the Philth.

How very original.

Yawn.

Phil would continue getting one over his rivals even if he was wheelchair bound.
