Freeview Re-tune

Just re-tuned my Toshiba TV and a lot of the channels seem to have disappeared; it goes 1, 2,7 ,9 which means ITV, channel 4 and channel 5 are not there.

Re-tuning my Hitachi Freeview Box all the channels are there so it is obviously not an aerial problem.

It's a TV (RTFM) problem

Some TVs need to be reset to shipping condition before they'll go off and find new channel positions correctly. A simple retune just refreshes the existing channel memories. What you need is the equivalent of a TV reboot. Check through the menus, go for Settings / Set-up as well as tuning.

Have been through the menus and done a reset to delivery and then rescanned, same problem with missing channels.

Check the wiring for kinks and bends. Check the plugs for how they are wired.

I must say Chris I had a laugh at your comment about the cable as everything had been OK up to now.

BUT

It was a loose cable, just shows should always check the obvious !!!!

THANKS
