The root of the sentiments she expressed was that James and Austin are attracted to each other.
The root of the sentiment she expressed is that she's disgusted by the notion of an attraction between James and Austin, NOT simply that there's the possibility of an 'attraction', which is why she always uses it as a 'weapon' when she goes on the attack. That's homophobia. She's made more than a few negative comments in this area for her feelings to be MORE than obvious by now - this task merely confirmed it. As others have pointed out, if she had been charged with upsetting Scoop, would she even consider using racial slurs, or anything that might possibly be interpreted as such? Of course she wouldn't! Trying to dress up her behaviour as nothing more than a harmless reference to the 'bromance' is tantamount to condoning her blatant, ugly bigotry.

But a considerable section of their fanbase - whether willing to admit it or not - have been enjoying the Austin/James frisson. There have been copious posts on here that would confirm that.
Possibly because James is one of the few young, attractive and - just as importantly - available males in the house, Farrah is probably wondering why he hasn't flung himself at her feet, given her sense of entitlement. Since he prefers to spend all his time with the only other bloke in the house to give him a run for his money in the looks department, he must be a 'homo' (in her words)! It simply hasn't occurred to her that the problem is her defensive, bigoted, angry attitude. Why would James choose the dubious 'charms' of a reptile like Farrah when he could enjoy the affable company of someone whose own placid temperament mirrors his own? And 'placid' is the word, since Austin only ever gets loud with those who actually deserve it.

Daniel said as much last night.

Man up. It was only a bit of verbal. Jeezo.
Yes, because bigoted words have never done any harm.

Get a bloody reality check.

Oh my god.

The really sad thing is, I think you're totally serious.

Did you listen to the bunch of them slagging her off afterwards? Where'd that basic human decency go?

Yes I did, and she deserved it.

She's always slagging them off so why shouldn't they vent their feelings? Or do you think she is more important than the rest of the house?

Whether Farrah is homophobic or not she was in her element with that task. Her and Austin were suppose to make them angry but she just has no bounds and did cross the line I feel reducing the women to tears was just mean. Farrah is an awful person and is the 2nd coming of Satan to the BB house and I don't enjoy watching the show because she makes it all about her. She needs to go but unfortunately she will be kept in over decent HM's.
I didn't know anything of her before the show. And she's a bit of a harpy for me, but I don't see anything about her that makes her "an awful person." There aren't many people in that house that I'd say I "like" or would care to know IRL ... including most of the British housemates.

As for "crossing the line" ... nonsense. Sure it was over the top. But crossing a line? It was no different than the number of times that BB has humiliated and tortured housemates, reducing them to tears, injuring them, causing them to puke.

Okay, but why does if she slags someone off, she's a horrible human being. If they do, well ... she deserved it.

You can't have it both ways, though apparently you'd like to. They're either all bad, or it's understandable for all of them.

Oh wait. I forgot. It's okay for them, because they're Briti9sh. Got it.

No, they only slagged her off as a reaction to her volley of verbal abuse.

It's understandable that they would have vented seeing as they were tearful.

Referring to Austin as James' "boyfriend" during the 'how-dare-you-look-at-me-for-more-than-2-seconds-without-my-written consent" argument. Why did she think she could use that particular phrase as an insult, I wonder? Then the 'slip-sliding' comment a day or two later, when she opted for another tantrum when pressed to explain herself (it's now obvious she refused to elaborate because the word she wanted to use was probably 'faggot'). Then the crack about Austin or James - I forget which - not being a 'real man'. In isolation, her 'fans' could explain these things away as 'banter' or some such rubbish, but the accumulation of detail - culminating in the removal of her muzzle during the task - tells a story in itself. She's a homophobe, no question.

Because she provokes a negative reaction, whilst they react to her provocation. The difference is obvious and profound.

You can't have it both ways
Yes, you can, since one of them is rotten to the core, and the others are simply reacting to that rottenness.

Oh wait. I forgot. It's okay for them, because they're Briti9sh. Got it.
You lost me here. One of the people being criticised for 'slagging off' Farrah (for nothing, apparently ) includes Austin, who may be many things, but British he's not.

Not family entertainment that's for sure, parents would be horrified to let their children watch it.

Damn. Not that again. When will you people let me know where this secret feed is where you can see them 24 hours a day to know what happened BEFORE whatever they deign to put on the broadcast show.

I hate that I can only see what's on television, and you all know so much more about what's going on. It's just not fair.

As you know we're only judging on the highlights, the same as what you're doing.

There's no point in making a sarcastic comments that shift the goalposts.

How do you know what was said before what they showed us? How are you so certain that Farrah started everything? Don't be so certain you know what's happening. You only know what they want it to look like is happening. And that's just not enough to be so snotty about people and say nasty things like "she deserved it." You don't know.

I'm certainly not snotty or nasty unlike the person you support.

I can only judge you by the things you say. And my opinion stands.

And I don't "support" anyone. I'm not 12.

I don't support anyone either. I'm completely impartial.

I have objectivity on my side.

She's a homophobe and that task was perfectly designed for her to air her views.

For once the crowd did the right thing and booed her.

I think homophobia should always be challenged , but it's a serious accusation and needs real evidence . I don't think any of that ^ shows homophobia .

the slip-slide thing - I tell you when James said how if certain things happened that he would jump out of Austin's bed and get into Bobby Davro's bed I laughed , it's funny , so her slip-sliding quip made sense to me . but you've projected onto her the idea that she wanted to call him a faggott , you can't do that , that's not evidence

.

I can ask you the same thing. You've reached your own conclusions the same way as everyone else, but you're trying to insinuate that Farrah is essentially misunderstood, based on the edit. What we've seen is more than enough to justify our feelings about her rancid behaviour.

How are you so certain that Farrah started everything?
How are you so certain she didn't? How many episodes must they broadcast in which Farrah behaves in a despicable manner before you stop giving her the benefit of the doubt? Unless, of course, you're no different than her, and are happy to support her horrendous attitude.

You only know what they want it to look like is happening. And that's just not enough to be so snotty about people and say nasty things like "she deserved it." You don't know.
We do know. It's there on screen. Every sodding night.
