How far north? I'm in Nottingham and there have been plenty. Season is just coming to an end.
In Shropshire they are abundant, but it seems the migrants new to our area love them, entire families with big sacks picking all of them, all the wild cherries, garlic as well. I don't have issue with it but surely taking all of them in 3 hours isn't really fair?

Yes, it's a great year for plums. We are inundated with them at the moment from our two trees! I'm making a plum sauce tonight to use some up.
