Eastenders always seem do Holiday Specials better than other Soaps

I really enjoyed Eastenders this week There some really good acting from Shirley and Aunt Babe Eastenders always seem to these Holidays special better than other soaps Why is that

There's just more of a character driven feel and a human touch with drama and deserved warmth. Many others do tend to 'do it for the sake of it'

Yeah those Ramsgate scenes put Corrie's recent camping farce to shame.

To be fair, they have also done some horrific holiday episodes

Ireland, Lola/Jay/Abi/Peter camping and others

But then Blackpool, Southend & Brighton all were good

My favourite ever EE holiday storyline was from the mid-90s when Grant, Phil, Ricky, Bianca, David Wicks and a guy called Steve all went to Spain. David Wicks ends up chatting up a blonde girl in the local bar and takes her back to the hotel, everyone then ends up walking into his bedroom one after the other (I can't remember why) and everyone is in shock as the blonde girl turns out to be Sam Mitchell.

I agree, it was abysmal - not even the cameo from paddy helped matters!
