But when Farrah went on her rant, the camera panned to Austin who looked quite shocked at some of the comments, and then when Farrah left ended up saying that Farrah went too far, but I don't know if that was part of his task?

Then when they left, he said "we nailed it" and was really happy. So I'm confused whether he was genuinely hurt by Farrah's comments (as it looked like in the room), or if he loved it (as shown when they exited the room).

I was surprised when they left the room that he said "we nailed it" because I thought he was going to say to her that she took it too far. Surely, those comments would have hurt Austin more than anyone else.

I think he was hurt.

I also believe he is a bit scared of Farrah which would explain why he didn't challenge her.

I don't think he's scared of her at all. He had a huge argument with her near the beginning, so he can certainly take her on if he wants too.

Well I think it's true to say that the task was nailed but Farrah did go too far. BB clearly thought that and that was demonstrated by the way they warned her and I think most of the the audience thought that too.

I do think some of the back lash Farrah has received from Austin anyway is to do with her telling Baldwin that she wasn't sorry about anything she said and that she enjoyed it. I understand Baldwin told Austin this so her nailing the task is one thing but getting pleasure out of it I think has pushed his buttons and made him angry and upset about it all.

Perhaps 'scared' was the wrong word to use.

I do, however, think that he picks his battles carefully and if he had gone for her then, it wouldn't necessarily have been in his best interests.

I don't think I will be too concerned about Austin's hurt feelings just yet. I am not seeing him as a character with any real allegiance to anyone except himself

I see him as a chap who is very much ploughing his own furrow. I think his aim is to play both ends to the middle. He knows he has to win the approval of the UK audience and has some idea, or thinks he has some idea, of what will not play well the voter. So he has to seem to have a foot in both camps, to take on the Americans but not be totally disloyal, to play to the home crowd while not totally alienating his homies.

It may be that he sometimes reacts not to the actual scenario he is in, but how he thinks that will play out in the game overall. So in that hypothesis it makes sense to back off when Farrah went over the top. To continue would have been to associate himself with unpopular remarks. But having let her have enough rope to hang herself he may feel that that in itself is a victory

I think he was offended and shocked but not personally upset by the comments. I don't see how they nailed the task as they were supposed to get the others to lose their tempers not make them cry! The UK team remained very calm!

Strictly speaking, the direction was to make two of them angry. James and Atomic were angry. Job done - I think that's fair enough.

Austin only cares about Austin and will do whatever it takes to ingratiate himself away from noms and into the viewers' good books.

Cause he's a two faced pile of doggy poop who bullies vunerable young girls and terrorizes fragile older women for airtime. Basically he wanted to look good to the UK housemates, "Ohh Farrah, that was too much."

And then also look good to the US housemates, "Team USA! We nailed it! Yayy!"

he let Farrah do all the work, then shared in her glory with the U.S. Housemates "we nailed it!!" and then bitched about her with the UK housemates. Farrah passed that task for them, Austin was useless.

Which makes him likable in my book. Making them angry is one thing but having to resort to the type of abuse and name calling she did whilst apparently enjoying it is quite another. I'm pleased that Austin was lost for words during the task as any decent person would be.

He was not lost for words. Farrah did what she had to do to win the task. Watch the live feed, she's spoken to Gail and co, had genuine chats and they;ve sorted it out. Austin was just posturing. He feigned being shocked in order to gain favour with the UK housemates, and I know this because he displayed NONE of that sensitivity when he exited the room and met the US housemates. He was ecstatic. Why? He didn't rile them up, Farrah did. So he was ecstatic about what she said.

Also, the UK housemates have cottoned onto him too. Natasha said she doesn't even listen to what he says anymore because he's such a shit stirrer.

Natasha is also shown in tonights highlight show saying that she wants to slap Farrah's face because of her aggression.

They did the British stiff upper lip thing of not screaming or reacting but just keeping it bottled inside till it overspills in tears .

I think he was hurt but at the same time gave it a pass because it was a task. He shouldn't have.
