Only on some handsets, not on all.

It's a SIM free Nexus 5. I've not had a network supplied or branded phone for four years which probably helped.

Going back to the start of the other thread discussing BT Mobile, I think it's acknowledged that you may well be able to tether just fine - but it's a breach of contract and definitely at your own risk.
I understand the risks. It's not something I would consider doing on a regular basis it was purely out of desperation as my internet was on a go slow. But yes, anyone else should make themselves aware of the risks.

OH got BT SIM today, however still has an ongoing dispute with EE and needs to cancel EE and resolve the dispute asap. Best to deal with EE on the 150 no or in store?

I'm not seeing any risk, you are limited to 20gb or lower. I really can't see them wanting to cut you off.

From my experience helping with parents' contracts, EE in store are for selling stuff only, 150 aren't much better but if you escalate and then if that doesn't work perhaps an e-mail to the CEO's office (drastic I always think but I guess you want a quick resolution then it's the best).
