The A-Z of Strictly Cynicism
Just thought I would get some of the jibes out of the way early before they come thick and fast throughout the series
.Being the old cynic that I am .Celebrity A must not win as they are utterly fake. Yeah but Celebrity B is so smug. What about Celebrity C, who clearly thinks they are funny when they are not. I can't stand Celebrity D, utterly annoying and overbearing. Celebrity E is so boring and bland. We can't allow Celebrity F to win, clearly a judges favourite. Ah yes but Celebrity G clearly has an unfair advantage due to factor A. Yeah but Celebrity H has an unfair advantage due to factor B. You all miss the point as Celebrity I has numerous unfair advantages with factors C, D and E. Oh I despise Celebrity J, so overly competitive. Celebrity K so gets on my nerves with their over excitement. Celebrity L and M are clearly trying overly hard to win votes, shan't be voting for them. Celebrity N is just a publicity seeker, not voting for them. Did you see the reaction of Celebrity O to getting paired up with Professional Q. Appalling. Totally gone off them now. I hate Celebrity R, so full of themselves. Celebrity S is nothing more than a stroppy diva. Did you see the reaction of Celebrity T to the elimination of couple C. Totally undignified. Hope Celebrity T doesn't win. Celebrity U just moans about everything, grow up. Celebrity V just gets on my nerves behaving like the whole show is about them. Don't even know why Celebrity W is on the show, they look so disinterested and fedup. Is Celebrity X pregnant? Is Celebrity Y drunk? Celebrity Z should be disqualified for being a ringah. And I missed out Celebrities P and Q. Think they got lost in traffic. Another excuse not to like them. Blah blah blah .

Oh. I thought forums were all about people sharing views, opinions, debating and having a laugh.

Is there something I missed? I find it all rather amusing though .Reading all that sort of stuff is very entertaining .Hmmmmmm. I don't recall ever saying I did not welcome debate, opinion or having a laugh. I enjoy SCD immensely, have done for many years and the forum stuff is always a good laugh. Bit of mickey taking banter never goes a miss in my book .

You might have missed all of the above I mentioned that tends to be said every year on the SCD forum threads about the various celebs and pros. Already it seems the analysis of every reaction by pro and celebrity alike has begun.

Don't forget ...
"I have a PhD in xxxx (among my many other achievements, to be announced as the relevant topic/opportunity arises) so my opinion is of paramount importance"

One I'm always guilty of:
"Having spent two hours learning Dance A on holiday about 3 years ago, after drinking a jug of sangria with lunch, I can tell you that Celebrity B's technique is awful, and could be improved in the following ways."

I think you'll find the much loved and better established NAT thread wins hands down. 5 or 6 years old and still going strong.
But not everyone can handle it ![]() Or... Wouldn't want to. Not even with a disinfected barge pole. |

But not everyone can handle it ![]() Personally I wouldn't be bothered with a thread like that . If I have anything negative to say about a contestant or pro I'm happy to say it 'in the open' rather than tucked away in a purely negative thread . I suppose it takes all sorts though , so enjoy . |
