1. All the newbie pros are attractive, but only Oti seemed to have an endearing personality.

2. Has no one told Tess that her "growling" voice is terrifying yet?

3. All the female celebs (even Carol had some moves, despite looking a bit lost in the centre of the group dance) seemed to be pretty good. The men will need to catch up.

4. The production value is certainly giving X Factor a run for its money.

5. I wish it wasn't so long until the first dance, but good luck to all the celebs in training!

1. The opening was like a little ray of sunshine ... Oh Strictly, how I've missed you!

2. Loved the pro ballroom dance with Brendan, girls and the classy Gregory Porter.

3. Please don't go so Latin top-heavy in the pro dances this year. There's nothing quite like a stylish ballroom to make me smile.

4. A surprise (but I found it very endearing) to see the Wanted guy so shy/overawed. Hope he's popular and can stick around long enough to enjoy it.

5. Is it only me, or did Katie (despite looking like she has moves) look more weak in the core than other females? If so, that doesn't bode well, as Anton never seems to do anything to strengthen or improve his partners (preferring to drag them around/laugh at them...). Hope he ups his game.

Sneaky 6. Tristan and Jamelia: NOOOOOOOO!
I hate being conflicted about a partnership!! (But I guess, however irritating, she's probably good enough to keep him in!)
