Obviously this thread is unlikely to be of interest to non-Claudia fans!

However, for those who ARE interested.......

Tonight's (i.e. on the recorded Launch Show) dress was by Amanda Wakely, and is a Jansen Midnight Tiered Dress.

It was selling for £2,495 but is now available for a bargain () £1,247.50.

Available at http://www.amandawakeley.com/shop/ja...ress--midnight

Tonight Claudia was wearing an Antonio Berardi Black Asymmetric Fitted Zip Dress - a snip at £750!!

"She is all about the monochrome trend tonight in a black and white dress by designer Antonio Berardi - a solid black cocktail dress with bold contrasting ivory neckline. That folded asymmetric neckline is really quite dramatic, and I like the skinny little shoulder strap. It IS available online here at Avenue 32 - a beautiful pick for your next event."

I couldn't imagine wearing a dress as expensive as that scarlotti even if it was on a bargain special offer.

Me neither.....and I begrudge having to pay for it out of our TV licence!

On the plus side she's had her fringe cut slightly so she doesn't have to squint to read the autocue.

At least it wasn't the usual potato sack she wears.

I do like Claudia, her quirky sense of humour and her kindness.

However I feel she wears too much black and I didn't like her outfit last night at all.

She was also on Alan Carr last night and her outfit was hideous. She looked really dowdy against Tess.

Just my opinion.

I doubt you were... There were a whole lot of issues a few years past about presenters trying to reclaim tax on clothes they bought for work which showed they don't come out of a common wardrobe.

For regular shows (such as news presenters, The One Show, It Takes Two, etc.) the clothes are mostly the presenters own. It's stuff they have bought themselves and same as any person they wear their own clothes to work - it's not a freebie, and it's not paid for by the BBC. The presenter's gowns on Strictly may be loan items from the designer when they're the more expensive ones - but still very unlikely to be paid for by the BBC.

I think she's one of those women who don't much care about clothes / hair and make-up. Away from the glare of TV she'll slob around in her old tracky bottoms and big jumpers. I don't think she looks bad at all on Strictly, but what I hate is the nude / no lipstick look she favours. It's a terrible look for all women, and just makes them look peaky and unfinished ! A splash of colour on her face would work wonders !

I suspect they are mostly on loan .. it's a great advert for a designer. I didn't really like her dress and make up last night but Claudia is an interesting dresser .. very individual.

Here we go again! Criticizing Claudia's dresses. At least she is original and quirky. Give me Claudia with her whacky taste above Tess Daly any day of the week.

I agree. I rather like Claudia's quick wit and her engagement with the contestants.

I don't always like everything she wears but I get the impression that she's not as comfortable in revealing outfits as Tess is, so a lot of her dresses seem less glamorous as a result.

Is Crimplene still available as a dress fabric these days, I wonder?

Claudia was hilariously naughty last saturday while her and Tess ran through the intro... She couldn't breathe, walk, eat and needed a poo apparently! Had most people in fits of giggles...

Anyone else think this 'special' doll looks slightly familiar?

I picture Terry in a beaded muumuu and matching turban.

I love Claudia, she is so spontaneous and natural. It's Tess that gets on my nerves, so unnatural.
