I didn't say you had to offer anyone respect (though I'm astounded that you don't think you ought to offer respect to other people). What I said was, you have to respect the fact that people have differing opinions than you do. It's their right. Got it?

I don't get the blind hatred for a "character" on a television show. You don't know her. You don't know any of them. You only know what the editors want you to think of them all.

I defend her because she has absolute conviction for what she believes in. She truly stands up for what the heck she believes in.

So how can you not respect that?

She's indefensible as a human being, sure. Trash in human form.

But apparently as fodder for entertainment, that's a different scale. It makes her the toy the viewers and posters want to play with. Not someone they admire, or even would tolerate in anything else.

Do people actually believe they know the first thing about someone from watching heavily edited HL's and a tiny bit of LF?

I'm watching a "reality" show I'm not watching actual reality.
Contestants do things to get ahead in the game, some do what the producers asked them to do, you know like Marq and Simon were last series, some don't care what strangers think of them, some care a LOT about what strangers think of them.

It's a reality show, heavily edited, heavily manipulated. Reality is a totally different thing entirely.

I can defend anyone I wish to - if that upsets posters - tough. I would rather watch Farah, at least she is offering something as opposed to Gail Porter and Sherrie Hewson oh yes and Natasha Hamilton. I am sure the last 3 are part of the 7 dwarfs - Weepy, Pretend Fally and Boastful.

If I want Disney or the Waltons I will watch it - just a suggestion to the people who are so offended.

Sherrie is quietly brilliant, have to disagree with her inclusion there. She's probably the only one that has truly made me laugh. As Janice walks away while Sherrie was talking to her and in mid sentence she says "Oh you're off then". Still laughing.

No. I'm saying it because I thought he was a disgusting pig. I HATE HATE HATE being called Sweetheart by strangers. It's insulting. And he kept doing it. That pushes my button. It's sexist.

But, no, I don't like him. There's just something about pathetic comedians from that era. 99% of them just aren't funny. They're painful. It's like, the world of comedy has changed, but they're still stuck in the 80s. And to top it off, he won't stop doing his bad American accent. That peeves me off, too.

I really don't like Farrah, either. But I just don't think she's anywhere near as bad as you lot keep having conniptions about. And she's a heck of a lot more entertaining than he thinks he is.

Yeah....so many nuggets of comedy.

This show can be salvaged if only if we recognise what's important to each team.

Hopefully.................they the 'team' get to figure it out before we do.

I couldn't live with someone who constantly wants to argue, it'd wear me out. And she doesn't even try to understand the other person's side or point of view, she just attacks them no matter what they do, there's no reasoning with an unreasoable person like that.

There's plenty to defend about Farrah but many posters seem to make up their minds about a housemate and disregard any aspect of their personality that doesn't match the picture they're painting in their head. Farrah is easily riled, yes, but she also displays a lot of empathy, As shown with Gail the martyr.

I don't think really she attacks them ,,, she fights back.
