All I've read about the Davro situation is that his best friend 'alleges' Bobby had an affair with his wife, but that both Bobby and the wife deny it. As some say, it's interesting that Wayne Dobson is just coming out with this now, nobody knows if it's truth or not.

As for Farrah knowing about it, perhaps Bobby's mentioned it in the house (the allegation, that is) - although she doesn't strike me as a listener, perhaps she listens to people more than she appears to.

ETA: Just read the article somebody else posted - he lives in the same house as his ex-wife but they aren't involved, and he has a long-term girlfriend. Sounds like the situation I found myself in for a time when my marriage broke up (had to remain in the house whilst getting divorced and ex-husband moved his g/f in too).

Much as it is an odd arrangement, it's usually a financial decision - it doesn't imply he's bed-hopping though.

Absolutely, and I'm all for that. I would love to hear Farrah express an opinion - not name call, rant and rage, but express an opinion other than name-calling. She rarely does that, because she'd have to be calm and express an opinion with takes a bit of thought and rationality.

Gail's tried to express a few, although she gets talked over quite often Daniel was excellent at expressing his opinion (such a shame he's left, he was my early favourite). Jenna's not half bad at it when she tries, her biggest mistake - in my humble opinion - was buddying up with Farrah.

Several British housemates don't seem to care about how their actions may affect the feelings of others, yet when it's the American housemates acting a certain way they're told that this is the UK and they have to understand how to be more 'British' by the likes of treacherous Austin.

Daniel mentioned it in his eviction that it would cause a row when it was discovered. But BB edited all out. There was so much more to all the arguing than was shown.

I think Farrah behaves despicably, but many of the British housemates get off so easily simply by virtue of not being Farrah.

I've seen Jenna try to express her feelings about a situation, but it's dismissed or ignored. She isn't a loose cannon like Farrah, but gets lumped into every argument by simply being close to Farrah. Often when it's something which doesn't involve Jenna, someone like Bobby lumps them together as Farrah and Jenna.

For example, Chris and Bobby's comments at the sofa after Daniel was evicted weren't nice, and don't appear to have been a well meaning joke, as Chris couldn't stand Daniel. But when Jenna tried to make her point that it was disrespectful she had Austin defending the Brits because they're British.
Likewise when Scoop tried to tell the British housemates that in America it would be seen to be disrespectful to be taking over somebody's wardrobe before they had been evicted, he too was dismissed, and there's Austin defending them again saying it's the British way.

The upshot of this is that housemates appear to have to respect British housemates' feelings, but dismiss and ignore the feelings of American housemates.

We've had Bobby calling them 'yanks' which they didn't seem too happy about, and Scoop felt that he had to walk away when Bobby mimicked a comedy American accent. Then we've had James and Austin doing what they want and trampling all over the feelings of American housemates by taking over the wardrobes of Janice and Farrah before they had even been evicted.

Yet the 'Yanks' are meant to just suck it up because the other housemates are British and they have the misfortune of not being.

This quite possibly wouldn't be such a massive problem because we would get a clearer picture of this. But with BB themselves cheerleading the British and demonising the Americans by using Farrah as their benchmark of morality, and by BB literally hiding things in the edit which would place some context to events, it just looks like a whitewash.
This isn't a competition, it's just a means to make British viewers feel good about themselves for being British and not American.

It wasn't after, it was before. Daniel was speaking about what they'd done on BOTS to Rylan. How could he predict the future and what they were going to do? He was speaking in the past tense about what they'd already done, and that he was looking forward to watching the fall-out on the HL show, which wasn't even shown.

You're looking at things from an isolated edit. There were a few hours leading up to that.

I think this is a fair point in some ways, but I do feel that it's not just the Brits who don't care about how their actions impact on others - in fact, I hate this Brit/American thing and I'm going to say that, generally, not many of them care how their actions affect others, of either nationality.

For example, those who shout and argue about the house don't care if that affects the quieter housemates, you have Austin being selfish saying Janice should give up her bath for the sake of the rest of the house, but Janice is also selfish for wanting to bathe - who is right, both and neither Then there's Gail who doesn't like Stevi and Chloe's affection and believes she has the right to tell them to stop - is it selfish of her or selfish of Chloe/Stevi who feel they have the right to continue, whichever one wins is the selfish one. Many more examples of selfishness from many housemates, their nationality is irrelevant. This nationality situation is stopping many from looking at them as just people rather than a Brit or an American.

Austin goes on about 'the British way' as if there's some rule book and we are all a stereotype, but the likes of Sherrie/Gail/Chris/Bobby go on about Americans and how loud they are and other comments such as that, essentially saying that that is 'the American way'.

Austin, in my opinion, is making the American/British divide wider with all his 'British way' crap; whether he's doing it on purpose or not, I do not know - more than likely he's just boasting because he thinks he has the upper hand as the housemate who has a better knowledge of both sides and is able to play them against each other.

Essentially, what I'm saying is that most of them have the same attitude, it's just how they express it that's different.

Oh I think that's a bit harsh on Americans. Just because one foul-mouthed harpie hasn't evolved doesn't mean they're all like that.

Just to add my twopenneth.......I don't think Bobby Davro did anything wrong, and both Jenna and Farrah started an argument over nothing (something they do on a regular basis).
Seems to me, Jenna and Farrah can take offence at THE slightest thing. Both apperar to have had a sense of humour bypass.
As for Farrah......don't get me started....A woman incapable of holding a conversation without constantly adding personal and degrading insults. She never listens and just shouts over people. A truly nasty piece of work imo.

The show is on British TV, so the Americans are trying to appeal to the what they perceive to be British ways so they can win.

Bobby behaved marginally better than farrah simply because he didn't scream abuse but neither covered themselves in glory and nationality has nothing to do with it.

We have American relations and they would curl up and die before behaving like farrah or Jenna.

Almost everything in that post is an unjustifiable exaggeration, did you actually read it before giving it your reinforcement or where you bored after line 2 and just decided to "hear hear" it to either appear ' right on' or be a bit controversial.

Oh yes I agree with you completely that everyone should be respecting each others' feelings. I'm certainly not pro-American. You're right in that sometimes some of the Americans can be very disrespectful too.
However I'm commenting on the general attitude in the house where the Brits are acting holier than thou, with the help of Austin who's enabling this bullshit. Where many of the British housemates seem to think that the Americans are supposed to acquiesce to the British demands and needs and they don't have to consider the feelings of the Americans, and have pretty much rubbed the American's noses in it a few times already.

I wasn't exaggerating at all.
I was trying to consider how and why the Americans may feel how they feel. The exaggeration comes from the melodrama being whipped up by BB and manifesting itself with people like Bobby and James being literally described as heroes.
My post simply challenges that perception by subduing that form of exaggeration and to suggest that many people are being swept up by the BB presentation to them without considering what has been left out of the edit.
