Just unbelievable. It's so good that we have the Live Feed this year so we can see that this is happening.

I don't think it's to stop James looking bad. The least twist will show you the ones BB likes best.

It was strange I kept waiting for it to be mentioned and nothing, nada zilch...

Well said OP. I agree totally

Tonight's show was an editing farce...

Even them on BOTS couldn't understand what happened and were like WTF

Yep, pure fiction.”

THIS

They treat the viewers with utter contempt.

But James is their winner, so regardless of the twists to help keep in the American crazies that will go on throughout this series, James will always look the good guy.

It just proves how important the live feed is. That was a big incident last night but BB have decided to not show any of it, i don't know why though.

You're right. It makes you wonder how inaccurate many people's perceptions have been in previous series where there has hardly been any live feed.

I could not agree more. I got so confused after watching the HL show last night I re-watched the live feed from Friday after the eviction and the HL show again. I'm still none the wiser. Oh I guess that's BB editing gone bonkers and not for the first time.

Live feed shows a completely different side to the housemates than what we get to see.
I really wanted to know how the pants got in that drawer Because I wanted to know if James and Austin are really that good at lying, we had Austin swear on his dead mothers grave and James swear on his eyes , ok so we know that swearing on anything especially dead people will have no effect but still it's a thing that out of respect you don't do
So if James and Austin could lie so convincingly than that's something that would have been very interesting to me
If James and Austin were telling the truth then who put them in the drawer was it a set up to get the guys in trouble was someone sitting on that information and not owning up because they were cowardly
I also thought austins reaction was telling he kept repeating that he didn't know James that well, he had only known him a week and he had no idea what he was capable of, so it's not the big bromance that we are repeatedly led to believe in the highlights
The biggest surprise was what a complete drama queen scoop was, it was a pair of undies in a drawer but he went to bed with a migraine over the whole incident and didn't stop bleating on about it for hours he really wanted to make those guys look bad, I think he's a huge game player

It's good to be able to see that this is happening by having some form of live feed, but it would be better if we were shown a fuller picture of what had happened.
Because with this example has it has demonstrated that even with the live feed we still don't get the full story.
We got pointers that there was more to meets the eye than it seemed on the HL show, but even then we won't get to see everything because the edits aren't just taken from the live feed alone. They're also compiled with bits that aren't shown on the live feed.

Even if we had 24/7 live feed, we'd only get to see what one particular camera allows us to see at a time. Other cameras are filming at the same time, and as is often seen in the HL show we frequently see the same thing happening but with some different camera shots with different angles which we didn't see from on the live feed.
People still want to know exactly what happened even though we got to see an hour and a half of the live feed.

I'm confused with the argument here tbh. Is the consensus that Jenna and Farrah's reaction to the British HMs using Baldwin's wardrobe and to Davro offering them some space in it justified because of what Austin and James apparently did earlier with Farrah and Janice's wardrobe?

Personally I think their earlier reaction, well Jenna's was completely over the top and as for Scoop's In my view as I have stated before Jenna in particular was highly peeved that Americans were nominated and that an American was booted out and she dealt with her anger and competitiveness by having a pop at anyone she could. Austin in particular for perceived slights against the US HMs and ultimately Davro because of how piqued she felt.

Farrah is coming across as Jenna's hound dog and whatever is always ready for a fight. Scoop I think felt very undermined too by Americans being kicked out / picked on.

I think an over inflated idea of their importance is something Jenna, Farrah and maybe Scoop share and they seemed in my view to be acting on this all through the live feed on Friday night.

I think the reason the live feed was confusing that night was because of this over reaction. The reaction made it seem like Austin and James had committed a terrorist act of some magnitude. I don't think that if more was shown of it any more light would have been shone on Jenna and Farrah's reaction either on LF or in the bedroom segment on the highlights. Also we had Janice siding with the Brits and yet she was the biggest victim of Austin and James wardrobe activities so she didn't see a connection or a reason behind how Jenna and Farrah acted, or reacted in the bedroom.

Live feed isn't the answer in itself as it still has to be perceived and interpreted and I just don't interpret it the same way many on here seem to be interpreting it as if it gives all the answers to what happened that night.

I bet the house has suddenly turned into a battlefield with yanks on one side and brits on the other. My feeling is that war/game was declared on the yanks after BB got Farrah to make them angry. By discarding Jame's counter-attack they've simply shifted our perception of who drew first blood so we are compelled to root for the good guys - the brits of course.

And this war will be Aggression countered with passive aggression. How culturally apt.

This is exactly what I think. A lot of people keep going on about what Austin and James did, but they may not have even done what they were accused of doing. And even if they did do what they were accused of doing, it's nothing to get hysterical about.

I agree it seems a lot of drama over nothing but their reactions was to deny it completely and swear on dead mothers graves and eyes etc and Austin seemed to want to distance himself from James by saying he didn't know him that well and he didn't really know what he was capable of etc
It's an interesting point because if they did do it it shows they are very convincing liars and if they didn't do it it they seemed unless it was accidental that someone set them up

All we have as evidence that they swore on their mothers graves they didn't do it is Jenna saying they did. But THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE DONE IT.

Although James and Austin being cut out of this undoubtedly changes the entire dynamic of the argument - which appears to be purely to protect them both (especially James) - it doesn't change how awful Farrah came across in that argument. Even with context and provocation, she was completely out of order.

Does anyone else think like me, that a WHOLE evenings arguments, over clothes in a wardrobe, is actually totally insane?

Whoever was right or wrong, can they not filter things and NOT argue for once, just be adult about it?

If their lives are like this day by day who would want to be near them?

What's a consensus got to do with anything? The thread is about what has been omitted from the edit and wasn't referred to on the HL show. Without being shown this information there can hardly be a consensus about who's right and who's wrong. It's not about that anyway, it's about a significant development which was touched upon on the live feed and the viewers of the HL show not being made aware of it.

Don't know. Because we don't know what happened.

I see. My impression from what has been said about this is that this missing event from the highlight's show would have helped viewers to understand the argument that happened later in the bedroom and possibly other events and reactions. In my view it just as likely wouldn't have mainly because Jenna and Farrah's reactions were so ridiculously over the top and unnecessary.

We do however know that Farrah behaved like a foul-mouthed banshee yet again over nothing. Nothing the lads said or did ( if in fact they did do it) warranted the filth that comes out of Farrah's mouth with Jenna sitting there pulling the strings.

LOL

It's Big Brother. Of course it's manipulative with its editing. They've been doing this for years - most notably Jason in BB5 even though he still came 2nd.

Always showed him as being argumentative and in a bad mood yet when Stuart was evicted and told Davina how funny Jason was, people were thinking "eh? funny?" because the editors hadn't shown that side of them. It was only after Stuart's eviction that Jason suddenly started to come across as funny in the HL show.

Anyways, rambling over. It's nothing new. When they say "who goes...you decide" it's actually saying "who goes...we'll decide and edit that person in an appropriate way".

That's what happens when they only have 45 minutes 'highlights'.
