Good to see bb recognise who the bores are and at least one of them will go.

LOL

for real though, you could combine Chris, Sherrie, Gail and Natasha into one person and they wouldn't be any more interesting, they'd just be a reticent middle aged crying mess.

Exactly, I haven't voted since BB13. Which is why they can manipulate the show and I just shrug because I'm not stupid enough to waste my money anymore. Just don't vote and then you will enjoy it more.

More like they will change it to suit their agenda.

No, they just had the upperhand all week. Getting all the advantages like parties, treats, etc. Got to be waited upon, fancy bedroom, gentle wakings. Not to mention the entire voting public being automatically on their side. Announcers, panel guests, etc, all on their side. Playing the British national anthem continually on the show as it goes in and out of ad breaks.

No, no power at all.

I think it's not a fair thing to do, but there's nothing fair in this game. And look at it this way, the manipulation is just going to foment the public's hatred of all things American. And isn't that the point of this whole exercise?

I don't vote anymore and i'm not enjoying it anymore. Even if you don't vote it's hard to enjoy a show that is blatantly fixed.

This^^^^^ It's like the constant fixes to keep Marc in during BB16

Luckily I don't vote in BB any more but it's the principle of not liking twist to the nominating process.

One thing that makes it ever so slightly suspicious is that we weren't told the winning team would have this reward before the task took place. It may be cynical of me to say so but I have a feeling that if the Brits had won they wouldn't be receiving this treat.

In terms of keeping interest, it's not surprising. The ratings are not great at the moment but they'd be horrific if we happen to lose all the Americans and we are left with basically what CBB11 would have been without Speidi. Which by the way would be "oh we are best friends, aw, I love you, you are great", and NO fun. The CBB11 lot were awful to watch even when they were trying to have fun.

Do you want me to call the police on whoever it is that has kidnapped you, tied you to a chair, and is forcing you to watch it?

Just pretend the show is a soap and not a reality show.

Suddenly all these producer manipulations make sense

Wrong move BB don't get me wrong I'm glad it will be one of the bores going but it's unfair.

Advising people to switch off isn't a good idea, they can't afford to lose anymore viewers.

Exactly. We can pray and pray about it going back to normal nominations, but it will NEVER EVER EVER happen EVER again. And that needs to be drilled into people's minds. NEVER. Seriously NEVER again.

It's the case in any BB across the world, everyone has twists weekly, immunities, and Italian BB even had series where Big Brother decided who to make immune (no reason, they just wanted to save certain people). American BB came up with two HOH this year and more twists.

I'm a Celebrity always has immunities too.

The only shows who have to have the old voting method are talent shows because it's about talent so they can't make people immune in them.

It will NEVER be as it was. Times have changed, the people who watch it have changed, the viewers in 2015 are quite possibly 99% new viewers, so for all we know 1% of the people who watched BB1 are still watching now. The viewers are younger, more technological and don't like "simple" in terms of shows.

I see BB nowadays as a gameshow and an entertainment show, not a "fly on the wall" reality. That hardly works, 10000bc flopped a little as that was the closest "fly on the wall" you can get.

If anyone is waiting for it to go back to as it was, you may as well switch off now because it won't happen. And if some people really dislike the show, then I really think they should just not watch it anymore. Maybe it's just not your thing anymore.

That's their problem. I'm just so weary of all the people who act like they're forced to watch the show, when it's just so unbearable for them. Grow a backbone. Turn it off.

It's a great move - the bores are on the Brit side let's be honest about that - we don't have to like farrah Jenna janice etc but they are why we are tuning in these nights to see who they are laying into

James Jordan would have been great this series, as he would be the only British HM who would have equalled the US hms in terms of loudness and argumentativeness.

So far, it's only James that has done anything of interest on Team UK which is the reason he is both topping the polls and favourite to win; because everyone else is either boring or right pain in the arses.

I'm not sure what the point of it is, but I doubt a reality show can cause the British public to hate all things American.

Very true. This is why I now prefer CBB improvisation panto to ordinary BB.

Knew they would come up with something to keep Farrah in past Tuesday, not that she was in danger anyway but the bases had to be covered just in case

Perhaps this will give the UK housemates a much needed kick up the rear end as they are NOT earning their money right now

Not a fan of Farrah's but at least she and the Americans have given us things to talk about even if they are for the wrong reasons, and who and what would we talk about if most of these USA housemates were not there

Bobby's bad jokes? Sherrie just sitting there looking gormless? Gail making toast? Natasha talking behind peoples backs?

And correct me if I'm wrong didn't the Americans just have to wait hand and foot on the UK housemates in the shopping task?

I'm sure the Brits would rather have had exclusive noms.

Big Brother stinks.

Oh, I know. Didn't they just came out on the short end of the stick with those nominations. Such a pity how so many of them were up.

Hm. See, here's the thing. The show's not going to cause them to hate Americans, they're just reinforcing it. They say and do things all the time exhibiting their hate for America. But you're right, deep down, I think it's a ruse. Maybe they feel guilty for liking hamburgers and trashy American tV.
