Jeremy's dance requires him to "be on the balls of his feet", as per his Twitter.

So far, then, I think this is everything we know about the Week 1 dances:

- Kellie's almost certainly got Waltz, based on the 'vase move' tweet, which is the shaping of the top line in Waltz, if I'm not mistaken?
- Jay may have Tango, based on him mentioning the dance in a tweet.
- Jeremy may have Jive, based on him mentioning that his dance required being on the balls of his feet.
- Carol probably has Latin, based on her shoes, but we have no idea which one.
- Georgia and Katie may have either Cha Cha, Jive or Tango, based on Georgia's 'shattered' tweet and Katie tweeting about 'going for a lie-down', which imply more upbeat dance styles.

Do we think Jeremy's got Jive just so they can make "swing" jokes at the earliest possible opportunity?

Given it's the Strictly producers we're talking about, I'd say the chances are high.

Also, based on the length of time between now and the first live show, shouldn't the first 'First Steps' video be released on the official website sometime tomorrow?

Just checked - last year the first training video was released on Thursday 11th. So yes.

The 11th is Friday do you mean Thursday 10th or Friday 11th September.

No offence but that made me groan as it's just the sort of predictable idea they would use! Really Jive for his first dance!? Poor Jeremy, hope he does well.

I guess they will gradually release them over the next two weeks. I'd be shocked if they released them all at once.

I think there are a lot of interesting pairings this year, so I think they could make the show more successful using training footage.

Peter and Janette - How will Janette do with a total contender?
Georgia and Giovanni - How will both of them do, being young and new to this?
Ainsley and Natalie - Both very suitable for Strictly and likely to progress very well.
Anthony and Oti - Lots of unknowns, perhaps surprises in store?
Katie and Anton - Time for Anton to do the dancing and comedy mix really well?
Kellie and Kevin - Lots of good dancing and excitement?
Helen and Aljaz - perhaps the biggest dance certainties?
Kirsty and Brendan - The competitive couple?
Jay and Aliona - Confusing picture of his potential - but he should reach it with Aliona.
Iwan and Ola - Calm down dear - it's a rehearsal! Ola is good with sportsmen.
Daniel and Kristina - Kristina is capable - how committed will Daniel be?
Jeremy and Karen - Seem like opposites, but might get on well.
Carol and Pasha - No pressure then.
Anita and Gleb - No high expectations but can Gleb keep them in for a while?
Jamelia and Tristan - Should be very lively and entertaining.

The first steps videos will be uploaded like an advent calendar, so one each day (also in the weekend) for the upcoming weeks. At least, assuming that it is the same as last year.

About two weeks from now we will know all the dances and then we can allocate them to a performance day in the weekend (also note that last year the last training video was uploaded on the Wednesday before; the same day as that the songs and dances were released on the bbc strictly website).

As for the training pics, I wonder if Georgia was finished on her second dance (latin?) as I would assume that most of the training will focus on the first dance.

More females this year, so my guess for the first training video tomorrow is Georgia.

Oti tweeted yesterday that she and Anthony were doing interviews, so I think they are likely to be one of the first of the Training videos.

Quite possibly - given that he's not expected to last for very long, then they need to get them in quickly!
