Confirmed that the couples will be split 6 / 9 over the two week 1 live shows, as with previous years.

I'll guess that the producers will be not at all predictable in giving Anthony a Jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and Daniel a Waltz to some mangled version of Danny Boy, then.

I was about to ask why would Anthony getting a Jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go would be predictable, and then it hit me just as I was typing it out...
I can't believe even Strictly would seriously be that contrived, to be honest. |

Jay mentioned hips in his most recent tweet, so I'm guessing he's Cha-Cha-Cha-ing rather than Tango-ing.

Daniel & Kristina first steps. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/strictlyc...83384#comments It is a Waltz, which is maybe the ideal dance for him, but I think he will probably score well for it. Its going to be a very competitive year IMO. Daniel has fans who will definitely make the effort to vote for him. This is a good start from the dancing point of view. Normally he might want the Waltz to be his second dance because he may pick up a few more floating voters, but I expect for the first few weeks at least, he can avoid the dance-off. |

who is training up north Jo went on train 'up north' to interview someone and said whoever it was were doing well and their dance was all about frame - so ballroom not much of a clue but probably tango

He said on the red carpet that he had wooden hips, so they might be a concern for a CCC. This is them in training. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/COj9z1gWIAAIBNF.jpg Hard to tell what the dance is sometimes. This photo of Ola and Steve turned out to be from a Tango! http://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bx5L1WLIUAApwkb.jpg |

Thanks! That's weird - when I go to his Twitter my normal way, it's not there!![]() He does basically say that everything is wrong, so it may not be a clue to the dance? |

It doesn't appear at first because it's under his 'replies' tab.

updating this from what we have learnt so far....
Ainsley & Natalie - ? Anita & Gleb - ? Anthony & Oti - ? Carol & Pasha - ? (poss latin due to pic from twitter) Daniel & Kristina - Waltz (First Steps video) Georgia & Giovanni - ? (Georgia described as "shattered", so something fast?) Helen & Aljaz - ? Iwan & Ola - ? Jamelia & Tristan - ? Jay & Aliona - ? (mentioned Tango on twitter but may not be related) has mentioned kicking today in ballroom shoes on his twitter so possibly tango or maybe waltz Jeremy & Karen - ? (poss Jive due to being on balls of his feet as per twitter) Katie & Anton - ? (poss something fast due to tweet about needing a lie down?) Kellie & Kevin - ? (prob Waltz due to mention of 'vase' move on twitter) Kirsty & Brendan - ? Peter & Janette - ? |

Well whatever dance Kirsty is doing it looks like its done something to her feet https://twitter.com/TheRealKirstyG/s...58052292370434
If so - maybe a CCC for her first dance? |

Looks like our training video for today will also involve a Waltz (Strictly twitter has a teaser up for Kellie, similar to the one for Daniel yesterday).
Should be up within the next two hours, assuming the interval between the tease and the vid is the same (as yesterday). Hope we will get a latin video in the weekend. |

![]() Kellie is doing amazingly well for her first day. Her footwork looks very confident for someone who maybe hasn't partnered anyone before. Kevin's best chance yet IMO because Kellie also seems likeable and lively. |
