Anyone else see this? Apparently Ola wasn't happy at being paired with Iwan as she wanted Peter Andre and had a 'meltdown' about it. Not sure how true this is though coming from The Sun.....

I tend to take tabloid stuff with a pinch of salt, but seeing tonight's show I do think this is probably true as Ola looked SO mardy. Personally I think she should be happy just to be back on the show at all!

I think the tabloids had written the script and they are the ones unhappy with the pairings. Peter and Ola would given them more tabloid tittle tattle. SCD have paired Kristina with Daniel so that has shut down another scandal mongering line.

I think I trust James as much as I do the Sun!

Didn't even think she'd be in this series to be honest.

I do feel slightly sorry for her though, teaching someone with the personality of an amoeba.

Ola and Kristina are tabloid fodder these days and I take it all with a pinch of salt unless it is clearly a direct quote. The Daily Fail in particular depends on writing trash about anything to do with the BBC - and the Kardashians of course!

I read something about Ola in the newspaper the other week, saying she'd love to be partnered with Peter because she knows him or something along those lines, so they've put two and two together and came up with this ridiculous non-story.

Sick of the female pros being bashed; I'd probably walk if I were them, it isn't worth their measly fee.

I'm sure they all hoped to get Peter, I think him and Janette are most suited though.

Sadly, some people do. And to make matters worse, they then interpret every expression, every aspect of body language with that in mind (which could colour their judgement)

Funniest thing I read in the Total TV Guide for this week was Ola would like to dance with Prince Harry, but then went on to comment he would be too tall but somehow she would manage.

Iwan is only 1cm shorter than Harry.

I think it's a fun pairing if not a little odd in terms of Iwan's height (although Ola has had fairly tallish guys in the past) and his general demeanour. Ola usually gets the laid back guys who won't mind being treated with an iron rod during training Iwan is quite an outspoken, confident guy who won't enjoy taking orders. Seeing them in training should be fun

The professional dancers are there to do a job. Ola should be happy that she has a job. After her nasty accident I thought she would be taking a rest. I like Ola and sometimes feel James messes things for her by being so forthcoming to the press.

Well, it would be if we ever got to see any . Iwan is first and foremost an athlete who is used to being in training and taking instruction. They'll be fine if they are just allowed to get on with it.

I agree. Not sure how this will go. He might calm down and be good in training like most of the sportsmen we've seen because he's used to being told what to do to get the best results. Or he might be like a puppy and over enthusiastic all the time. It did cross my mind that he could be another Ashley and think he's better than he actually is. Ola is quite strict in training though.

Mind you, it might depend on what the producers tell them to do. The pros don't have the same freedom as they used to in earlier series.
