Well, it would be if we ever got to see any
. Iwan is first and foremost an athlete who is used to being in training and taking instruction. They'll be fine if they are just allowed to get on with it. I have followed his career and he is an outspoken guy with a colourful personality. He'll have more to say than guys like Steve Backshall and Chris Hollins who seemed fairly inoffensive. And let's face it, they didn't get off to the best of starts when he decided to swing her around like a rag doll I hope he's a good dancer though. I didn't really get to see much of him last night. |

On the red button coverage of the red carpet event he was really enthusiastic about doing the show and looked like he had pretty good rhythm. He definitely didn't look like he will have a problem with the performance aspect of the routine. We've seen plenty of sportsmen struggling with that in the early stages. I reckon Iwan will be full on from the start!

When it comes down to it, Strictly is about the experience of the celebs and all I hope is that his isn't compromised for the sake of a few column inches by the tabloids. |

Have any of Ola's partners not had a sporting connection apart from Spoony?

The launch show is a strange beast, though - I think/hope that when the adrenaline has settled and the training routine kicks in things will settle down.

Did anyone notice Tess has, after all these years, learned how to pronounce Ola's name. She must have mispronounced it deliberately previously, I know she isn't that bright but surely she can hear how everyone else (except for Bruce F) pronounced it! I wish Claudia was the main presenter and they would get rid of Tess, she is so shrill and frantic it is hard watching her sometimes.

Was she expected to shag him? That's what Kristina does.

According to todays DM when he swung her round he ripped her dress, broke her nail and her boob popped out - contains the quote from Ola. She seemed to be laughing it off though. IF she had any kind of 'melt down' it may well have been to tell him to be a little less hyper in future!

What the papers have said re Orla wanting Peter and having a tantrum is not true, the professionals know they are chosen randomly, yes maybe there watched to see who gets on with who, but a lot is height, age etc. She can't choose and she is too professional to damage a relationship before it starts.

And Andrew Castle, Sid Owen, Paul Daniels, Steve Backshall. Chris Hollins (although he was a sports news reporter, not a sportsman)

Peter Andrea was on a Breakfast show on my local radio having an interview after he was annouced has doing the show and said he wanted to be paired with Ola then as he said they go way back as friends and she kept asking him when he would do the show for years, suggesting that rumours of him doing the show in previous years were due to Ola asking him.

Kristina's partner must rival Andy Marray for being the most boring person on TV so perhaps they thought that if Kristina can't get him excited then no one can!

I didn't detect any disappointment but then Ola is always professional. Kristina looked a tiny bit as though an unwanted lemon had found its way into an orifice but Ola seemed fine.
Iwan and Ola were made for each other! |

Ola Jordan UK @OlaJordanUK · 16 hrs16 hours ago
A broken nail, ripped skirt and almost flashing... Not an every day partnership, eh @The_OlaJordan?! @Iwanrunner 🙈 Maybe she would have preferred Peter as they are friends, but Ola is happy with Iwan. She has always got on very well with sports men and I expect she will get Iwan at least as far as he deserves to go. |

Didn't even think she'd be in this series to be honest.
I do feel slightly sorry for her though, teaching someone with the personality of an amoeba. |
