I used her dance moment as an opportunity for a toilet break. I was most underwhelmed by her as a winner last year and had no desire to watch her again.

Same here.

I can never really concentrate when Caroline dances . I am too preoccupied thinking how her hair needs a good brushing

Well she was honest about it on twitter she said she was just back from holiday, had put weight on and had no rehearsal time.

But she had known since last year that she would have to do the dance. She knew when she went on holiday she would be doing the dance when she got back. It was obviously very last minute but she and Pasha could surely have found a couple of days over the last few weeks to prepare. I rewatched the whole show yesterday with plans to skip the 'pairings' as it turned out the only thing I skipped was Carolines dance, I had no interest in seeing it again. Regardless of how much she 'enthuses' about the show it's very disappointing that she didn't make more effort to be ready for her last dance.

As a fan from series 1 I actually gave up watching last year as it was clear from early on that the judges favoured her - giving her 10's very early in the series for heaven's sake.

She may well have been a worthy winner, for the first time I did not watch the final - but her style of dancing was not pleasurable for me and Saturday night just confirmed it

She was truly dire - but there could have been method in the madness. Perhaps she was just proving to all the naysayers out there that she was no ringer and was a genuine beginner in these disciplines who was never exempt from producing a sub-standard dance.

Did anyone also notice how absolutely knackered she was whilst talking to Tess?

Yeah she wasn't very good, obviously hasn't kept up the dancing, or her fitness, since winning.

I was a Caroline fan last year and voted for her in the final, but her Champions Dance was not great. Probably a combination of lack of fitness, lack of sustained rehearsal time - I'm sure she did rehearse with Pasha, but it can't be the same as being in 'the zone' living, breathing and sleeping dance training 24/7 like last year and maybe that's what she needs to get to live show standard - and nerves. Understandable and it didn't put me off her or make me think I was wrong to support her last year; I just felt a bit sorry for her that her last dance on the show was less than stellar and somewhat error-strewn.

I think it was down to too much travelling with Caroline going on holiday, travelling around the UK doing X Factor auditions and she also travelled to film on Love Island not so long back.

I am also going to join the "very disappointed" or similar responces to their dance. As previous commentators have said, she looked much like she did in the first shows. What it does show however, is that an awful lot of effort has to be made to reach a winning standard.

She instagrammed a whole video clip of them rehearsing on 12.8 so they did rehearse and it wasn't last minute, maybe just not enough.

Good! SO pleased I've read all this, thought I was the only one who thought she was terrible. But to be fair to her unlike Abbey Clancy who has buckets of time on her hand she has been busy filming X Factor, promoting a book and when they filmed the dance she had just come from X Factor filming so it was all a bit rushed. But yeah very disappointing

You might be thinking of Frankie there, who had been given a 10 in week 3, albeit from Donny Osmond. Caroline's first 10 didn't come until Blackpool. Frankie, Pixie, and Simon (also in Blackpool) all got 10s before she did. Caroline got no more 10s until her Charleston in week 10.

I was not a Caroline fan last year but thought she was a good dancer. I was shocked by how bad she was and was actually worried about her as she gasped and wheezed her way through her interview afterwards. In no way did she look like a series winner, unlike Abby the year before who was just fabulous.

It just goes to show how much work and effort goes into making a dancer out of these people. The professional dancers earn their (meagre) fees!!

Very disappointed in her dance. Judging on that, I cannot believe how she won last year (and I was a fan of hers)

Of course, it would never have happened to Pixie.

I watched some of the X-Factor after watching Strictly on Saturday and it seem's to have got worse with Caroline and Olly Murs presenting unless it was all the other changes as well.
