Oh dear.....those x factor ratings ..worse than last week

Pleasantly surprised with strictly ratings given the fact that I thought that the quality of the show ( which was quite poor imo ) would after the ratings. Yay strictly

A little lower on average from last week, but still great compared to XF. I notice that peak viewing was slightly up, though.

Ouch, the Gap seems to be staying at 3 million.

Guess viewing down as busy party night.

I used to watch X-Factor every year, mainly out of habit and appreciating that it was a load of pantomime rubbish, but still with the potential to be entertaining.

I've completely switched off from it now though - Dermot replaced by the dreadful Olly Murs, a bunch of forgettable no-hopers in the live shows, and to cap it all, bringing back the King of Strops and rewarding him for his petulance and ingratitude.

I'm not even tempted to switch over once Strictly has finished, I've lost interest in it completely.

Isn't Simon saying his audience are watching but just not on TV or in a way measured by traditional ratings?

From the Ratings Thread:
Sunday 8th November

Strictly Come Dancing results show: 10.43 million average

XFactor results show: 7.17 million average

It's amazing given that Strictly is taped and it takes no real effort at all to find out who got voted off during Saturday night's filming. You've have thought given this that Strictly would really suffer on Sundays, at least losing a couple of million, but it seems to grow on Sunday if anything.

Pretty impressive I'd say.

By the way it seems like I'm struggling on this site in general and feel like being an inactive member or maybe a guest like Topaz on here.

It's really quite a pounding for XF, they've got a live show on a night most people aren't out and quite happy to slump in front of the tv for the evening (or is that just us ) and it's being comprehensively beaten by it's main rival, which is taped (and I believe Antiques Roadshow as well).

There wasn't even an overlap between SCD And XF yesterday which may have brought viewing figures down a little.

Hello Paul,

I don't know why you had a temporary ban, because from what I see, you do not make offensive posts. My guess would be that some of the threads you start are considered by some to be pointless or not related to Strictly, both of which are against forum rules.

I can tell how much you love posting here, so maybe for a while you could perhaps try to restrict yourself to adding to other threads. If you want to start another thread, maybe think first about if it is really necessary, or whether what you want to say could be added to a thread which is already there. Hope you are not offended by these comments.

It will be a struggle Strictly Red, but I've got to tell myself I can do it so I can avoid getting complaints from other users. I'm already in the dog house with some users, but not all.

Reading some crap on the mirror online that the results show on 4th of October was won by TXF. Don't know whether that's a conspiracy theory or not as the truthful ratings are on Wikipedia.

The Results Show last night drew in 10.82m viewers! (via Cameron on GB).

Apparently, that is its highest rating since the 2013 final and the highest non-final rating since 11th December 2011 (which was the semi-final results show). (Thanks to guestofseth on GB.)
