Great viewing figures for Strictly again. Last week's controversy doesn't seem to have put people off.

Poor old Simon, I think the trouble is is that he just can't get any publicity for the show outside of a few puff pieces - Strictly have several ongoing storylines running in the press, not all of them wanted (excuse the slight pun ), but they keep Strictly's name out there - if I didn't wander around the XF forum from time to time I'd have no idea who anyone was in it.

The ratings are very impressive this year.

I have noticed that for the past few weeks, the results show has done better than the main show.

No way you can blame that on on demand services.

Have wondered if for the Sunday after the results show the BBC could put together a Strictly 2015 Overview Show - perhaps on BBC 2 with maybe

Clips of best dances from the final 3 or 4 celebrities compared to clips from dances very early on
Or just clips of the very best dances - like Jay's Jive and Helen's VW
Maybe Joanne doing a bit of analysis?
A few of the best bits of ITT
Best bits of the 'Red Button' interview immediately after the show - would need edting as it can be a bit chaotic
A few random camera shots taken from the chaos after the Final

I can't see strictly slipping like the x-factor has anytime soon.

Fantastic slightly low from last year though but I'm sure strictly will bounce back next week.

Last year there was no clash between the two shows at this stage - whereas last night there was a 30 minute clash.

Throughout 2015 viewing figures have been well down for virtually all shows - the GBBO being the notable exception - but Strictly has also largely bucked the trend!

XF supporters will make any excuse to try to avoid the truth that XF is dead. Last week there was no SCR/XF clash and XF performed just as bad.

Last week SCD started at 7 pm, to help reduce the clash the BBC moved SCD ten minutes earlier this week.

People have access to recording, catch up, ITV1+1, but it seems XF viewers can't find these.

The old saying is, that a poor workman blames his tools.

XF ratings are poor, as the show is poor, if it was good viewers would find a way to watch it.

I have read so many excuses re XF.

It's a bank holiday when it started.
Good weather all out at BBQs.
Rugby World Cup.
Everyone out at Halloween parties.
Everyone at Christmas parties.
The SCD Vs XF clash.

Truth is, XF no one wants to watch it, end if, no excuses, even Simon Cowell has called it shambolic, the viewers do not want to watch it, but go for an easy target and blame SCD for being too good, not XF for being terribly bad.
