As always with the launch show many of the 'celebrities' elicit the response in our house: 'Who?'

I wonder how many of this year's contestants are familiar to you? The following were pretty much unknown to me until last night:

- Anthony Ogogo (I don't follow boxing)
- Jay McGuniness (I've never heard of The Wanted)
- Kirsty Gallagher (Gaby Logan is the only female sports presenter I can think of)
- Anita Rani (I used to watch Countryfile but they've obviously completely changed it recently)
- Jamelia (I vaguely recognise the name from the pop world .. wouldn't dream of watching Loose Women!)
- Peter Andre (I've heard of him but know nothing about him; with a name like that it sounds like he could be a celebrity hairdresser!)

The rest I'm fine with. I love the show and always watch it through to the final, so here's looking forward to a stonking great series!

I think I'd heard of all of them apart from Jay (although I'd heard of The Wanted) and Helen (although I recognise her face from Call The Midwife).

I am very familiar with Ainsley, Peter, Kirsty and Jamelia although I am warming to Daniel as well.

I didn't know Daniel or Katie before. Vaguely aware of Georgia, Iwan and Anthony. Everyone else I knew of fairly well.

About one third of them, which is normal for me.

I usually know the sports people, but not this year. (I've already seen enough of the blond runner - good luck with him Ola, you're gonna need it!)

As a shallow male (I know - is there another kind?) I am pleased to see an extensive line up of attractive females!

The only one I was completely clueless about was the chap from The Wanted. The others I could recognise at least by face.

I'd never come across Georgia and only had a vague idea who Helen and Jay were (I couldn't have put names to their faces). The rest I knew.

Never heard of Kirsty, Iwan, and Anthony as I don't have any interest in sports. No idea who Jay or Jamelia were either LOL ! All the others I knew fine.

I've heard of all of them. Then again, I think the last person I hadn't a clue about was Fiona Fullerton.

All of them apart from Mrs Violin. But obviously that's because she's far too posh to be known by a working class girl like me.

To me- that's a very fair spread of people in the public eye.

Everybody but Anthony /Jay / Anita / Georgia. Georgia I've seen her face on front of mags when passing them in supermarket but that's all. No idea who she was or what she was called. Iwan recognised when I saw him having seen him compete but wouldn't have been able to put a name to face beforehand.

Not that it really matters because it's how they come across on the programme that counts. I cheered Iwan on as an athlete but, on what I've seen so far I can't see me voting for him as a dancer.

As a viewer part of the enjoyment of watching SCD is seeing how people cope with the whole sparkly SCD experience.

I think we have had a few threads on this, however to answer, all are famous, I knew them all myself.
