Do the Americans seem loud because it's a weak British cast

The likes of farrah , Gemma seem really really loud which they are, but is the fact that it's a weak UK cast make them seem maybe louder than they are.

Rather unusually for any bb it's a very weak UK female cast.

Might have been more interesting with these American females , had this theme happened when the likes of Hopkins and Luisa zissman were housemates

Perhaps the UK casting was deliberately weak for this reason

Natasha is pretty noisy but even if she had her amp turned up to 11 and got a couple of football terraces to join in, the more obnoxious Americans would still be bursting ear drums all round

Personally I don't think for example Jenna is loud. She just seems to address people more directly sometimes with expletives. Whereas someone like Natasha who is constantly referred to as a feisty, down to earth Scouser seems to be more likely to discuss others behind their backs when she has an issue.

Even Natasha seems to shrink into the background when the likes of Farrah, Austin and Jenna get started cos when they argue they are very loud and just prone to hurling any insult they can think off.

No Natasha is just a usual British female - instead of confronting someone she has an issue with she just bitches behind their back at every opportunity she gets!!!

I think it's a weak US cast. Loudness isn't how I judge the quality of a housemate.

If you think the U.S. Cast is weak it's a good thing you don't work in casting.

Casting went with stereotypes on both sides: the loud obnoxious American vs the reserved, stiff upper lip Brit. And the edit them in a way to keep the stereotype alive causing many of the edits to make no sense.

They didn't cast the type of British personality they normally do, the loud obnoxious "tell it like it is" type.

I think they shot themselves in the foot and this theme has fallen flat. The whole US vs UK theme they set up, with the casting choices they made, has failed. The whole raise your flag, sing your anthem, pick your PM/President is cringe worthy. Forcing them into "teams" has hampered any relationships that might have naturally occurred.

It is a quiet UK cast, not necessarily weak.

However, they have not been entertaining and I don't think that would change whether the Americans were there or not.

But relationships have naturally occurred despite the artificial divide. It's interesting to see Jenna and Farrah using the divide as a way of getting Austin not to nominate them even if he hates their guts.

That's kind of my whole point because of the theme no Luisa or Hopkins type would be on the UK team as those two and similar would not conform to the stiff upper lip stereotype

Well yeah, for you it is.

We all have our own opinions.

Anybody who remembers the series with the Goody family, Dirk Benedict and Jermaine Jackson would have got the impression that it's the Brits who are gobby. It's all down to the casting.

I remember Benedict saying in the DR that he was surprised that 'in the land of Shakespeare' young girls spoke like that. He lives in Montana and said he would never expect to hear such language from youngsters, even in bars.

It is a shame that some of the older Brits can't get in the conversations or events happening. I mean where is Sherrie in all this? So far she's been a right flop. Same with Chris.
