Vodafone LBO in Spain
Is Vodafone doing Local Breakout for data in Spain ?
Pings were slightly less hitting local Spanish speedtest servers and speeds were consistently higher ? Seemed like the data was being dumped locally into Spain rather than being routed back to the UK. Could be wrong, anyone with any inside info on it ? |

You'd have to use www.ipchicken.com or similar to show the IP and then look it up on the RIPE database to confirm.

I always use http://www.tracemyip.org/ To Find my IP address and info, ALWAYS been accurate for me.
![]() I have in the past used: ipchicken.com iplocation.net whatismyip.com trying to find something that worked on mobile screens, and your link looks the best so far - thanks. |

Was the IP definitely a UK IP http://i.imgur.com/BJRR2RA.png http://i.imgur.com/lOrnQQ1.png Note the Spanish speed result versus the UK one and that was consistent. So how then ? |

Generally one clue is browsing BBC news webpage, no adverts means you have a UK IP, and the URL stays bbc.co.uk - if you're in spain on WiFi then you get bbc.com with adverts. |
