I don't think that he's jumping ship, so to speak. He even said that he understands the theme. I took it as meaning that he feels closer to the people in Team UK.

I mean the only member of Team USA that he hasn't fought with is Scoop lol.

At least he's not taking this stupid theme as seriously as the rest of the Americans. It's a bit pathetic how desperate Jenna is going on about it - like it's some sorta war. Get a grip!

Austin is taking it very serious and will do whatever he can for the win.
He's the house chameleon and will take on whatever form he thinks will clinch it...including hair shaving.

He's taking winning for himself serious, but not the shit theme nonsense.

Jenna is the one thats loading the cannon balls.
She is manipulating her way around the house.
Bit like Austin.
Jenna's downfall though is going to be her superiority complex regarding the brit hm's.
She really thinks we are all yokels and bumpkins here and the US is sooooo superior.

I agree.

Now I am not defending Jenna for one moment but it is kinda understandable.

In school and in all situations in general, patriotism is drummed into them. Its a myth that every pupil pledges allegiance every day but nearly all schools start their day with it.
The Americans (in general) are very proud of their country and believe that they live in the greatest country in the world. That's possibly because the message is reinforced relentlessly in the mass-media on a daily basis.

That just doesn't happen in our country.
Austin hasn't much to thank America about either so its not really surprising he isn't quite as obsessed as some others.

''And yet, there is certainly more to Austin than sipping on Martinis in elegant New York City bars. Since filming wrapped up on the show, the young entertainer has found himself embroiled in the world of American politics. He campaigned fervently for the repeal of the discriminatory 1996 law, the Defense of Marriage Act (thanks President Clinton!) - a bill that defined marriage as an exclusively heterosexual institution for the purposes of federal law.

DOMA affected Armacost on a very personal level - he was unable to sponsor his British spouse, Jake Lees, for a green card. Consequently, the couple was forced to negotiate a transatlantic, long- distance relationship in the early stages of their marriage. The Supreme Court deemed DOMA unconstitutional on June 26th 2013, but Armacost has pledged to keep fighting for equality. EDGE caught up with Armacost to find out more about this victory, his relationship with Lees, and life after the A-List.''

Wonder why the special relationship doesnt extend to brits getting a green card?
Dont mention the boston tea party and all that.
The americans make a big thing of the founding fathers who were ....well actually english....so why cant the special relationship include the uk in a green card?

The fact that the show is airing in, erm......... the UK hasn't escaped Austin from the get-go. Hardly qualifies him for MENSA, mind.

Austin is on his own ship, he is a sly sh1t stirrer who would back-stab anyone to get the win.

There's nothing more fervent than a reformed drunk. Sure, some of the "founding fathers" may have backgrounds in the UK, but they tossed them out. Not sure if you're aware, but the "founding fathers" didn't come about until the American Revolution. And they were born in America, though they may have been British colonies. They certainly weren't governed by Britain. It governed itself .... hence the revolution. Besides, I don't think Americans (other than historians) do make a big deal out of "founding fathers." There are certain important historical figures, but they were mostly in all different eras, a few from that time period.

As for green cards - now that SSM is legal nation-wide, there isn't a problem. I don't know UK laws, but before SSM was legal, did having a "special relationship" get one residency status? Bet it didn't.

I mean, on Day 1 he already started pandering to the UK. And it worked. He's probably going to be final two with James.

So would I. In to the sea. Chances of survival are better with the sharks than with Farrah.

Thing is you can never trust a traitor or snitch. If they'll do it to someone else then they will do it to you

I don't see how it's pathetic. She's been hired for this show, and will have been led to believe that this is the point of the game.
You have to understand as well that some of the Americans won't be as familiar with this show from a British viewers perspective of Big Brother. So when the show was sold to her as being about the UK versus the USA she may have taken that at face value and signed the dotted line in the belief that it was an obligation.
