Definitely never to return for me are:

- Wembley (dis-ah-ster darling)
- Around the World week (mind those Greek dancers Jake)

Anything else?

Please no more fake worship of Blackpool. It means as much to the beginner dancer celebs as it would to me with my foam rounders bat at Lord's.

I really like that they go to blackpool. It's an important place in terms of ballroom dance which a lot of people don't realise. Why not tell people something new?

It does make a big difference even to a beginner to dance in a proper ballroom rather than a studio too, so I think the celebs would enjoy it even if they didn't get blackpool's significance.

I like the idea of Blackpool too (I'm not sure the reality lives up to the idea always). More tickets available to the public too than Elstree, so that can't be bad.

I think it's fine to make a fuss about Blackpool not just because of links to the world of Ballroom dancing, but because it's something fun for the couples to aim for in the few weeks before. Plus there is something special when we see the dancing on the huge dance floor with the huge chandeliers, etc. I imagine these days that back stage is mainly pretty shabby and it's more about faded grandure.

Apart from Halloween I would be happy to sweep themed weeks under the carpet, not because I don't like themed weeks but because of how bad the producers are at them!

Another vote for theme weeks from me.

I'd also be happy if we never again saw a comedy VT. Training updates only please!

Another vote for reversing the trend for comedy VTs instead of training updates.

They'll be as stubborn as mules on the joke VTs like the rest of their stupid ideas.
I can picture them round the table now agreeing scripted VTs are essential, just that they just haven't been "executed optimally".

Sadly, I think you might be spot on there....

I love Blackpool, its the home of dance! what better place to take a bunch of people learning to dance than the dance mecca itself!

- Backing dancers
- Props (except for a specialist prop week... maybe...)
- Accepting rules being broken 'cos it's early'

They just need to be honest about why they do Blackpool. The BBC need the studio for Children In Need so stop going on like it's some kind of Mecca and tell us the real reason.

Wish I'd thought of these, especially the first and third ones.

The celebrities like to get to Blackpool cos they get a bonus for doing so (secret given away by an ex competitor in her newspaper column

I would love to see the back of the theme weeks, Ok if the theme has something to do with dance but otherwise - no thanks.

theme weeks dont really bother me but it is the hashy crossed over themes that do. Eg Movie Week and Musicals may as well be 1 theme. I hate the cherry picking of songs from Disney just thrown into these two themes too, as well as Mama Mia

My problem is simply that the couples can be given music that just doesn't fit the dance.

Well I think it can be both . After all they could just switch to another studio or a lesser venue than Blackpool. The Blackpool Ballroom is amazing ! There is nothing like dancing on a proper ballroom floor .I think it's a great visual goal for the competitors to aim for, rather than just plodding along week after week in the same place .

I'd rather Blackpool than Wembley. It was probably awesome to watch live in the venue but I never felt it translated well through the tele screen.

Hopefully Round The World week has gone the way of Fusion Week and will never be seen again.

I always thought that the sound was wrong at Wembley.

Supplementary dancers, they're just pointless and distracting from the couple.

Also co-sign on comedy VTs and most theme weeks other than Halloween.

Although I wouldn't mind the occasional new attempts at special weeks just to see how it goes, like on DWTS when one week there is a partner swap or whatever, although doubt it'd be popular on SCD.

Wembley was wrong form he TV show, the sound was awful.

I like Blackpool, they really should do the final from there each year but it's a
Ways CIN week as they need the studio space at Elstree.

I have the same love of Blackpool as you katt, I think most reasonable viewers do too.

Comedy VTs, Backing Dancers, Props and dances being shoehorned into the wrong music for me.

I also like Blackpool - for Ainsley in particular it will be a goal I would think as his Dad played there back in the day and it would be really special for him.
