Just wondering, do any of you number-crunchers out there know if there is any correlation between where couples appear in the credits and their eventual placings?

Does it seem, for instance, that to be first up is a good or bad thing?

Does the couple who get the 'ho' in the music always do well?

Does the last couple always end up going out in the first 3 weeks?

It may be that nobody knows (or cares!) but I wondered if anyone knew - might it give us some pointers when we see the credits in 3 weeks time?

It won't answer your question, but there are some incredibly detailed statistics about other aspects of Structly to be found here (from Dec 2013)...

...personally I can't see too much of a pattern, but here's the order of the credits for the last 3 series and their positions regardless.

Looks like all you might be able to almost conclude is whoever is first or last is least likely to reach the final.

Spot number 6 in the credits is reserved for a (presumed) female finalist: Kimberley, Natalie, Pixie. So, if there is a female on that spot it will tell a lot about what the producers have in mind (if so, I expect Jamelia to be there).

To go even further back, series 9 had Holly in that spot (that opening credits is a laugh mind you, with the first 4 being Harry, Alex, Jason and Chelsee ).

Also, note the spot that Denise, Ashley and Frankie had in past series.

With the 'ho' it is more difficult, as you also have multiple ones sometimes (Tim, Dani, Susannah, Nancy and Scott all had one in recent years).

The placement in the intro at the start or at the end is also not always telling (as mentioned above Harry and Rachel S. was last in the intro in her year).

I remember it used to be that whoever performed the first dance on the first show reached the final, though that ended with Rav Wilding I think
Also at one point, whoever showcased part of their dance on friday's ITT left that week

Thanks all some interesting reading - so essentially, we really know nothing, other than to keep an eye on slot 6 as that is somebody who the BBC think will go far...

And interestingly first and last appear to be people who initially you might think would do ok, but in the end are not as good as you might have thought.

Now let's see Daniel or Jeremy come up in slot 6 which will blow all the theories!
